I'm the same. We have more centres than wingers it seems.
Personally I'd have him at centre and let everyone else fight for the wing spot.

I was one who thought he should be moved onto the wing, but since then he has cut out the errors and improved his defence, got to stay there.
Need some more pace in the backs, hopefully Naughton, Griffin and Connor can provide this, along with a big off season for our two young centres.

| Mahe has been fantastic these last few weeks. Terrific signing. Still young too.

| Is he young enough to be eligible for young player of the year?

Agree about pace but we are not going to get it from Griffin or Connor.
Griffin is similar to Talanoa pace wise and big and stong,Connor if you visit the Hudds forum has no pace but does have a football brain.
Unfortunately for Naughton he has some pace but is not big enough for Radfords type of wing. The same goes for Lancaster

Well unless we sign a winger I'd guess one of them in with a shout of some game time next year unless we move fonua back to the wing and connor to centre

| Adored that try, one of my favourites for a while. The off loading was incredible to start with and then the drive forward. Head down and even with a couple of defenders harassing still drove almost to the line. Beautiful.

The hand in front of the face that he does?
He said on twitter it means "No Bull"
Thought he showed some real pace for that try and the little dummy got him the extra few yards and a lovely one handed offload to Michaels.

| Reminds me alot of Tevita Vaikona who is still the most destructive outside back in my time watching Hull IMO. But if Mahe carries on like this over the next 2 season I think he will overtake him.

Vaikona only ever played for Hull in a lower division to SL.
He was a SL standard player playing against part time and weaker players. Not a surprize that he was so effective.
Fonua IMO is better

I think you re probably right, especially about the hands.
But I'm not really talking in terms of like for like ability I just mean in a sense that I always remember TV getting everyone exited as soon as he got the ball in hands and his ability to swat off defenders.
I see alot of that in Fonua.
Exiting times given his age.

| As long as he sees his three year contract out, I'll be happy as he's honoured it. He's already said that he plans to return to the NRL. Which is totally understandable.
Best centre in the league bar non. Credit to Motu again.
