Spot on. I'd drive Turner to Saints myself and take Seymour to Manny airport on route. Manu will be missed but Gareth will fill the void that I'm sure of. It was still a great effort tonight however and showed that we are heading in the right direction.

Agree on all three points.

Whilst not dramatically poor, he was predictable in his ordinariness. Consistently out of position for long kicks. On returning them he persistence on a little stutter in his run ensured he would not get passed the first defender.
A little harsh on Seymour on last nights display. I think he did ok. What we saw was the opposition closing down our attacking options. That hasn't happened for the previous three weeks.
Major issue in our squad is lack of pace, both on and off the ball.

We were saying exactly the same last night. I really think it's time for Horne to hang up his boots.

| Careful, you'll have the "Horne's a local lad, therefore must be good" clan on your backs.
He's not been anything special for years - in face, we're carrying him on past reputation and club loyalty.
Last night, he was out of position, slow getting back and could barely run the ball out, choosing to try a little jink that just stopped his momentum. And what the hell was he doing for Waterhouse's try?
I am struggling to see what attributes Seymour brings and why we signed him back then? Was it a case of "He has a really Aussie sounding name! Gotta be good!" We get to the opponents 20 and are clueless - he cannot organise. Pay him off, he's stealing a living. Pearson's comment was spot-on.
Agree about Turner too. I'm glad he's gone and is one player I won't fear lining up against us.

That's not a hatchet job. It comes of years of watching Horne play. I don't doubt he has the bottle to play the game and holds his hand up even when injured, but he really isn't up to the job. He's keeping a younger, fitter, hungrier player out of the side.

He comes across as a bit of a pansy aswell, well when compared relatively. Diving around holding his face n that, does my head in. He'd fit right in in the premier league though.

| Glad to see Turner going, done okay but Arundel and Crooks are better alternatives.

While that may be true (and probably is) he's hardly going to stand down voluntarily. If there's a fault, then its PG's for selecting him. Hopefully this will be resolved between now and the new season, with a specialist fullback coming in.

Such as who?
Don't you think that if we had a 'younger, fitter, hungrier' option at FB then Gentle would have played him by now?
Hopefully we have another option lined up for next season.
