Just looked at Wakefield's squad and I can't see it troubling the top 8. They should do better than last year though.

Think thats harsh on Agar tbh. If anything thats the only thing he did well for us, he seemed to sell his ideas and the club very well.

In: Peter Fox, Andy Ellis, Oliver Wilkes, Vince Mellors, Ali Lautiti, Steve Southern, Dean Collis, Washy, Kyle Amour, Cockend, Issac John, Tim Smith, Richie Mathers and Paul Aiton+ some Hudds squad players.

Some decent players I'm sure but not any I would get tumescent over. Who in there is better (or as they have not played an SL game yet) or has a better pedigree than Heremia, McKinnon or Seymour (all bought by Agar).

I would personally agree with Superbowl Scott, his signings were his strongest point. The only position we was particularly poor in is 7; he signed Long (who was a massive gamble, but one of the only half decent 7s out there) and Thorman (who was crap). O'Meley and Fitzgibbon were particularly strong signings, as was Moa.

His signings at Wakefield are certainly improvements on their previous players but I would much prefer Seymour to Smith, McKinnon to Mathers and Heremeia to Aiton; infact there is none of Wakefield's signings that I wish had signed for us instead.

Don`t care who he is signing for Wakey t.b.h., just glad he isn`t doing it for us.

Imo don't think JR (or Agar for that matter) had the final word on our signings. I think he may have put forward recommendations but don't think he signed the cheques. That ultimately was down to Kath and the other board members.

Regardless of that I don't see anything to get excited over his wakey signings, except maybe the PNG hooker. Tim Smith is a turnstile.

His signings at Wakefield are nothing to shout about, they've signed a few average players which should lift the squad to mount a challenge for 8th place...but its nothing to get excited about, and his general bad tactics and poor coaching skills will mean they miss the top8 anyway.

Doesnt matter who they sign. They'll soon be appauling once the season starts under his leadership!
