Don't think one restaurant closing will affect the street much.

But I think its sad that a street that promised to deliver something different to Hull's nightlife is being dragged back down. Why can't the people looking for a binge drink and a fight stick to the City Centre, Witham or Bev Road?

We keep trying to price the idiots out but they must be saving up! I think we should gate the area off and introduce an entrance fee based on post code

If Princes ave is getting too lively for you then go down Newland as thats nice and boring

Shame that the Boar's Nest is closing, the food really is top notch and far better than any other food available in West Hull.

I can understand the proprietors point of view though, Princes Ave is horrendous on the weekend these days tbf and certainly not a pleasant place with decent folk.

Actually, having not lived in Hull for quite a few years - myself and my wife decided to try out Prince Avenue the other night (was a Saturday) for the first time.

I have to say that I thought it was pretty nice, some nice bars with people outside who seemed to be having a good time - it certainly didn't strike me as a rough part of town.

Also, having never heard of the Boars Nest, we just wandered in, we were given a table - had excellent service and good food - and it wasn't unreasonably priced either.

Board nest is nice, but Laundry is similar fayre and far better value for money

I prefer the afternoon session down prinny ave.

Boars Nest was garbage, over priced and totally over-rated, it was "good" in comparison to other places in Hull, but that's a bit like saying The Swan is the best pub in Swanland (it's the ONLY pub in Swanland).
