| You cannot judge him yet. He will pick what he thinks is his best 13/17 for the opener and i expect he will stick with that for a few games at least. After that when/if certain players are not performing as they should that is when we will see if he is up to the job.
As for Long he may well make a good coach but it is too early in the day to be looking at that scenario.

| love people's optimism in our coach! not even a competative fixture played this season and were already banging on about replacments. we all know its do or die time for him. the board have backed him up this year, something i think they've been reluctant to do seasons of late. we got rid of the "dead wood" and aquired far better players, and the assistent coach to go with it. Agar does have his flaws as any coach does but i think its this year when we will see what he's really like as a super league coach.

| I'm giving Agar the same backing as i have done from day one, i think he can take Hull to the level we all want to see the club at. I had a few questions last year with some of his interchanges and things and obviously got frustrated at times. On the whole though my attitude toward him and what he can bring remains the same. I honestly believe that he can be good for the club and take us back to the top and back in the mix for trophies. He's cleared out the bad eggs and under-acheivers he's brought in players of great stature and professionalism, players that are totally dedicated to the cause rather than the life rugby league brings. Looking through this years squad it's hard to spot any weaknesses in the squad as a whole, the depth of quality, strength and ability is there for all to see. I think the good times are coming back and it's gonna happen with Agar at the helm.

| Deary me,we have had a few months of nowt but positives from the club plus people backing agar, now its the week of the first game and he picks his team from a fully fit squad he still cant win, what a load of sh-te about him having favourites, all the time he has a full squad hes never gunna please the players or the fans, like we have all said its a great position for him to be in atm,we can all pick our team that wed like to see but its never gunna be the same as agars team,i know people havent been impressed with radders last season for whatever reasons but nobody can argue that he deserves to be in this weeks squad after the performances in the 2 friendlies and the same is said for dowes and whiting.

| When Agar was appointed i was not dissapointed with the decision but neither was i overjoyed at it. Last year was awful but i am willing to give hima fair crack this season and see if things improve.
For me i am very interested in how he handles interchanges this year because last year that was a very dissapointing aspect of his coaching. With Moore alongside him hopefully this side of his coaching will improve.

| We are an A grade club. The other 2 A grade clubs have McLennan and Smith. My view is that both are better coaches than.Agar and we should have, and can afford, someone of their calibre. I hope Agar has a fantastic season, but would be more confident going into the season with Smith or McLennan.

On the basis of the friendlies, could anyone argue that Moa doesn't deserve a place?

After all that is his position in the club

Nail on the head!
He is managing a squad of players, who we have viewed in 2 friendlies!! we are not privy to what is happening in training etc...However he appears to be doing a very good job of installing positivity in the squad lets just see how he goes.

Certainly couldn't manage the players he had last year. Maybe it was just a case of bringing in players who don't need managing thus negating the need for agar
