This thread has become quite silly now. It seems the recruitment is over with no more signings to be made way everyone carrying on. Also people getting upset because mostly made up rumours by forum users never became reality!! how ridiculous. We have better facility's better youth structures, Ellis one of the premier 2nd rows in the world coming in, holdsworth 1of the best 6s in this league who's kicking alone will be massive for us, bolstered the pack cos had no where near enough depth this yr! Add a good conditioning and physio team-possibly biggest signings- and we'll not be looking bad! if MacDonnal comes I'm ok with that, looks good in attack and defence improved after shaky start, only23 anyway can still improve, a 7 is needed but I was never a Seymour basher, if we can slightly upgrade it'll still be better on account of holdsworth being at 6. Gutted missed chase but not like we didn't try. Another poster said what I've been saying for a while, only us n probably saints look like improving next yr, Wigan lost a lot in finch lima and tommy l, wire getting old, Leeds backline beyond compare next yr but forwards getting old and too reliant still on Maguire burrow and sinfield. Real opportunities for us, very small margins e.g. couple of soft defeats and loads of injuries and could have easily finished 3rd or fourth this yr! Brighten up, more to be optimistic about than for a long time!

Fully agree mate, but given the window of time we have now till next season i am certain there will be a positive outcome to that scenario, also i dont think we would look to shabby if we went with Seymore again either so were in a win win, loads of time, an owner wanting to spend..win win

What I don't understand is why we're always trying to find fault in our board? They obviously didn't [imean[/i to lose out on Chase and Paea, and they are obviously doing their best to do what's best for the club. Nobodies fault, just missed out on them, and by all accounts we've tried all we could to get them.

Recruitment isn't over, our pack is looking very good and I expect McDonnell and another half to be announced on top.

This. A 1000 times this. It's hilarious - someone starts an unsubstantiated rumour about a signing and when it doesn't happen the club gets the blame.

However some of those that are currently defending AP/the club from any form of criticism are the ones who actually made up the names of the so far unsigned players. They are the biggest rumour mongers on here, they then get shirty with others for believing them!!
