Agree, he has never been 'the' only playmaker in any of his previous teams; he is a player that has always had a tendency to flit in and out of games as and when he had the opportunity. I would actually call him when he played for Saints after seeing him hanging around in back play on occasions for maybe 3 or 4 tackles, he’d then spark something into life on the latter plays. Sadly he is now being used in a similar way to Fitz, he's expected to do it all himself.

I honestly thought he looked quite good when he was on the field, seemed to dart around the line a bit and try and make something of his possession. Wasn't world beating, but thought he looked alright. He needs runners off his runs, which we lack in. Horney back, Longy out. Typical.

Not too bothered about Long tbh, has looked dis-interested since he came back from his elbow injury last year. Would rather Obst played there, at least he'll be energetic and involved.
From what i heard there was an injury doubt over him before the game, that's why Washy was on the bench aswell.

No no, just that it was a risk and that's why Washy was put on the bench, because Obst was covering Long.

think the bloke was a real gamble for a 2 year contract, afraid it has backfired big time, taking up a huge amount of cap space, add it to the list of crocked failed HF's aka Mathew Head, Adam dykes.

TBF head was signed in a rush when Cooke walked out. We had no time to look around and little choice about who to sign.

With Dykes it seems that we allowed ourselves to be pushed into signing him before getting a full medical by his agent, who was claiming interest from other clubs. Not too clever.

Longy was not t training today.

Just one other thing to mention about Long. When he signed it was said that he'd taken our playbook away and re-written it. Anyone notice a difference pre and post Long signing?

Bad management, we are nearly 4 years on now from Cooke leaving and still know where near in finding a settled, quality half back partnership, lets hope and prey the club grow a pair, get shut of Agar and sign a coach ala Noble who can attract someone.
