Been at what Hutch?
Incident considered Running into melee in 34th minute
Decision No charge
Details of Charge / Reason for NF Player runs into confrontation, no punches thrown, referee caution sufficient
No punches or anything, sounds like hes getting better if anything - before he would of gone in all guns blazing.

| Love the description of Wellens offence. "Uses forearm to release himself from opponents grasp"
Was McGoldrick holding him with his eyelids?
It's a tough game but there's a boundary betweeen hard play and unfair play. Bailey's attempted headbutt and Wellens' jabs with his forearm crossed the boundary IMHO (as did Radders before anyone moans). Are the RFL just turning a blind eye to offences to keep sides at decent strength for the business end?

It was a missed headbutt. Had it of made contact he would be up before the panel.

Which is totally wrong. Radford missed with most of his punches, but he still got sent off. The intention was clearly there to headbutt Long in the face - should he only face punishment if he shatters Long's cheekbone again?

Makes no difference, the intent was there for all to see, (well except the officials and the RFL of course) regardless of making contact or not he attempted a head butt.

Correct and with the force he attempted it at, he would have been looking at a grade E-F offence, with F been the worse grade you can be charged with.

So by that accounts, had the pleb that ran out on the pitch got stopped by the stewards just before he got on the grass - he should of been allowed to sit back down in his seat?

No Sh1t Sherlock.
So as long as you don't make contact it's ok now. Fine. Let the games begin!

The rules only cover 3 types of headbutts, there is no punishment for a missed attempt. I know its wrong but thats whats in the disciplinery guidelines.

Hope the RFL use that methodology with Radders punches as only one of them hit properly

Meh, I hadn't read the rest of the thread.
I didn't say it was right that it happened. Its just the RFLs take on it.

| Still, it was good to see someone land one on Bailey (not in the spirit of the game etc. etc. etc. etc. Right!), Did anyone lip read what they were 'saying' to each other as Radford went off?
