46188.jpg Hull FC Est.1865... Surviving without a Head Coach since 2008

If we get Long and Horne back for the Leeds game (which they are on course to be) then I am confident we can be competitive in the playoffs. I don't need to bet to believe that anymore than I do already.'"
So in other words you're happy to dismiss my opinions but in reality you know I could be right?

Fair comment.

Eh
In reality my opinion is different to yours. That means we might dismiss each others opinions but either of us could be right, we might play two and lose two or we might win a couple or even get to the GF.
Either way if we finish 4th/5th then it's a massive improvement on last season and most fans would have taken top 5 at the start of the season. Agar is not the best coach around but is doing a good job right now.

Again, fair enough. I'd also like to see it again to see just how good a chance it was for Berrigan. I just think, as I've said, that when you're running at a man and have a teammate in space, you give him the ball. It should be the natural instinct as in the vast majority of cases it's the best chance of a try. It would have been different if Yeaman had been going for a space or the corner, but with a man to beat he took the wrong option.

Can't argue with that, thought Crusaders did well to shut out the options.

| Thought berro had a bit of space. Wouldn't of outpaced the winger but might of give lyne some space. However it did look like they covered pretty well.
Would need to see it again.

You also threw in Huddersfield further down....so Leeds, Saints, Wire, Wigan or Hudds...
I will take the bet....sure Mrs B will bookmark.
Would like the wager to go to Dove House...

TBF from where I was sat in the South East corner it looked like there was a Crusaders player blocking a pass to Berrigan on Yeaman's inside. A pass to Lynne on his outside may have been a better option but then the cover was coming across and then you run the risk on getting dumped into touch.
I too would like to see it again before making my mind up but I don't think it's the clear cut bombed try it first appears.

It was right in front of me and Berro was open for the pass. Passing to either Lynne or Berrigan was always going to be a better option than hanging on to the ball. Sums up Yeaman's limitations IMO.

Pretty much how I saw it and the main crux of what I've been getting at. Even if Berrigan hadn't have scored, he was in a better position than Yeaman, which is the bottom line for me. Berrigan could possible have gone in for the try himself, been able to in turn put either Lyne or Yeaman himself back in as the play unfolded, or at the very least just gained more ground for the next play.

Well, I finally got around to watching last week's Boots 'n All today, and it was in Jon Wells' analysis. Whilst I will concede it was by no means a certain try for Berrigan, I'm more convinced than ever that the pass was not only on, but the best option.

Agree, I'd advise anyone who thinks the pass wasn't on to watch it again, it quite clearly was.
