What I meant was that Hudds can do that because the players who train midweek are carrying those set plays into the matches, every week however FC are cobbling together a team from the "whos left standing" scenario again which means that RA is relying more on the individuals to stand up and be counted than team plays , simple math really ..'"

Correct me if i'm wrong, but arent the majority of tactics, set plays etc worked on during pre season. If I remember rightly, we had very few injuries pre season. Therefore, all players should know how to play if they are called upon.
It looks to me like Agar has shown his strongest 17 the gameplan but kept it from everyone else. When saints have injuries they still stick to the same gameplan, obviously not aswell as there strongest line up would but you can see its there.
Any player who is not in the starting 17 should be shadowing the player in there position who is starting the game. That way the transition can be that bit smoother

So lets see if there's any effort and enthusiasm to reward the fans that have paid a lot of money to travel to france this weekend. I suspect there will be no effort or enthusiasm and we simply rely on the injuries as an excuse like usual.

Which makes you Mr Stupid, do I get £5?

Look my post is what I believe I don't think we can beat Cats with 12 players out, especially with the quality of players that would be missing.

That said I do take your point, if I were the head coach I would be concentrating on the players that were fit and I would be giving them a different gameplan completely. I would give the free reign to offload and throw the ball about and ask them to play with enthusiasm and give them belief that they can win the game. I would ban all talk of injuries and tell the fit players this is their opportunity!!

I’m sick to death of hearing about our injury woes, as all they are doing is papering over the cracks.

No sensible supporter would expect us to comfortably win games with some of the patched up sides that we have had on the paddock at various points over the past 3 seasons, but surely it is not asking for too much when simply wanting to see committed performances, regardless of personnel on the field.

This current spate of injuries has come at a very convenient time for Agar, and he is simply taking cover behind them and using them as an excuse yet again. The reality is that in the whole of Agar’s tenure as head coach you can probably count on one hand how many times the side has played expansive, creative, committed and focussed rugby, and that has nothing to do with injuries and everything to do with Agar’s ability, or lack of, as a head coach.

Our current downward spiral started before the current spate of injuries had kicked in, but some people seem to simply forget this fact.

Spot on. All a fan wants is committed effort no matter which 17 is named.

It was not ment as derogatory to your opinion. I just had this image that that would be something like Agars regular pre match team talk.

No worries, although being referred to as Mr Agar could be deemed as quite offensive icon_wink.gif
