For the rest of the readers who are not escapee's from the care in the community scheme, the reason that Sully did not play many games in his first three years with us was that although he signed in Dec 1961, until 1964 he was in the Royal Signals and only played when he got off duty. He scored a hat trick on his debut and scored 26 tries is 32 appearances in those first three years. He was always first choice when he was home! In his career he suffered a lot of injuries though one if I remember was a rather dramatic one following a car accident!

Regardless of who is up and coming, in my opinion, Calderwood is deserving of at least another twelve months. I would be interested to know what kind of money he's on but I don't expect him to be a massive earner. With better service and decent opportunities, I hope he proves to be good value for money after scoring 30 tries this season . . . . . (he hopes !!).
