Well this was always going to be a tough game, especially with this ref. I'll take an ugly win. Sounds like we've done some good things but made too many mistakes. Only the second game so I guess that's understandable.

I'll take that. Sounds like we had a lot of chances but it wasn't quite clicking. Plenty of time to get that stuff right, at least we're trying to play some attacking rugby.

An ugly win. Not a great game to watch and very poor refereeing performance (although the linesman played a blinder) - really skinny ten. Conditions weren't great and some good performances from Tansey, Whiting, Tickle, Cusack, Lauaki and (goes without saying) Fitz.

Last year we would have lost that game, though, and it's 2 wins against 2 of last year's top 3. 14,500 attendance as well.

most encouriging thing for me is our defence, 18 points conceded against two of last seasons top 3 is fantastic
