Does anyone else think this 'trying to re-sign Manu' was just a smokescreen. Offering him this supposedly massive 3 year deal. Did the club really want to keep him? A position we didnt really need to spend that sort of cap? that money will be ear marked for a top half back imo, we have allready being told that RH is going to full back, paving the way for a new 6.

If this thing about Canadian rugby is true I think it would be a decent move.
I went out there a couple of years ago on a union tour, there were some huge lads playing, didn't really understand the game but with the size of them they could have a few decent players out there.
And it looks good for us to be developing RL in an area where it isn't really played too.

Like Wilf said, they get bigger numbers for the highlights show, than we do for the live games on TV. They are really good athletes the Canadians so shows great initiative by the club to tap into this. Obviously more will be revealed in the press release tomorrow |
