The view that the game has become overly restricted and sanitised is a majority view, certainly not confined to few relics. If you think endorsing home fans jeering an ex player to try and affect their performance is enough to make you cringe, you really need to get out more!

I don't consider what was shouted at Briscoe to be out of order if it was only as reported on here. Daft, maybe, but not OTT. I've heard other stuff on the terraces that is. Like it or not, the future of all sports is to attract more families and not just daft lads - otherwise they'll go under. It's simple practicality rather than any moral crusade.
