TBH, they cannot come out and say anything other than they back the coach and team. But they must feel it, and Agar surely has his days numbered. A defeat to Rovers and he is gone I reckon

Maybe. It's whether seeing and feeling it will be enough for them to act. They must already know that a significant proportion of their fan base is feeling pretty disenfranchised and they don't really seem to be reflecting that in their communications. Take Rule's piece in the HDM after the Wakey (I think) game. All it did was wind people up even more.

Rule is full of it and should simply say nothing more, unless it's his own public resignation or the sacking of Agar. Preferably both.

In my opinion Richard Agar should not have been the head coach for the start of this season. He should have been removed after the Leeds match.

I've said this a few times on various threads - people have to understand that a board (regardless of business or sport) have to toe a united front regardless of what is going on behind the scenes.
I'm not defending them per ce but just because they're not in the press acknowledging we're rubbish and the coach needs to go doesn't mean hints aren't moving in the background. The trouble is that things don't move as quickly as fans may want because there is generally more to consider than what the public sees.
I run a company and even when things are going bad we tell everyone how good things are or how relatively were beating the curve etc etc because that's what boards do. And when I was previously a senior manager at another firm I had to sack a few people but had to follow process and protocol which took way longer than I wanted but unfortunately had to be done.

Keep the faith, ultimately uncle Kath has a responsibility to to the best for the business and the major repeatable revenue stream is the fans who's numbers dwindle as the team gets worse.

Signing Gleeson was all down to Rich as was his "astute" signings of Obst and Phelps. The BOD would look particularly stupid if they sack Agar before Gleeson has played. He's here for the duration regrettably. Oddly having watched the highlights of the game on Sky I thought the French looked pretty good and that our performance wasn't as bad as first thought problem is it's the same things every week , can't kick , stupid last tackle plays and lazy defensive lapses.

Lose the derby and I think he's gone. Win the derby and he will stay for the season. That's how important I think the board will see the next game.

Can it be that simple? If we win the Derby, but then get beat by Wire, Saints and Hudds, that would have to be enough, wouldn't it?

Not sure on that - think the bod would prefer not to sack in the middle of the season and might be hoping that a derby victory would buy them time. Either way lose on Friday I think that'll be it for Agar.

You would like to think so eh. Personally as well, I think it will be and he will walk, or be pushed. I think he will resign before being pushed.

Surprising how many fans are saying that all we need to do is beat Rovers. A lot of these fans would be happy if we finished 13th as long as Rovers finished below us and we beat them twice.

I'd take defeat if I knew for a fact he'd be gone. I wonder how many others would feel the same - particularly if victory meant he would be here for the rest of the season.
