I still dont agree with the decision and have seen players put on report in the past without a penalty been given. He could have just allowed us to play the ball and put Newton on report later or cite him after the game. Another example of Silverwood trying to level the game out in Rovers favour. |

Exactly Dave. Lots of incidents are brought before the disciplinary without being put on report at all. Having said that if Silverwood applied the law then fair enough. It was such a cowardly challenge it probably even disgusted him - he was near it. The only surprise was we didn't lose the ball on halfway on the first tackle after the penalty and they scored from it. |

If what Siverwood did was the letter of the law then fair enough but that law lacks common sense. Really highlighted how a team can lose an advantage simply so a ref can place a player on report. |

Does lack common sense. The only advantage to us would have been if he'd stopped the game to send Newton off.
If it is the letter of the law it's confusing because i've seen it applied differently in the past. |

There are some quality ones in there. Standee even said that, if Whiting were to leave, nobody but Salford and Crusaders would want him! I called it right though.
