no hint of the word "us" or "me" or "boys", he refers to the club, the organisation, the greater combination of all things, I do believe it means that Agar and some players will be leaving Hull FC, and some other staff, and I can honestly say, of the various names I have heard, not one single decision will make us anything other than stronger.
BUT, to ensure this, I would urge anyone who can be bothered to do so, email (politley, respectfully and thoughtfully).
I would hope FCVoices are demaing a fans forum before the end of the season, we were promised 3 as I recall?'"
I've just sent mine in.........
First of all, I'd like to welcome you to our great club. Your purchase of Hull FC has given all of us fans a great boost and a lot of optimism for the future that we haven't had for a very long time. However, you are probably already aware that the club is losing the support of "the faithful" in their droves and no doubt this will increase again for the coming season 2012. This will certainly be reflected in season pass sales again and the income from merchandising.
Too many fans have finally lost patience with the poor product that is the matchday experience, the club's apparent lack of any real ambition and our very predictable under-achievement year after year. I would urge you to seek some opinions from the true fans and to even take a look at the fans forum at rlfans.com where you will see many intelligent fans with genuine and well thought out opinions. Unfortunately, I fear that apathy has well and truly set in amongst many thousands of them, including myself.
The one opinion that you will find among the fans above all other opinions will be a very strong one indeed and that is that the fans are sick and tired of our club's continued backing of our coach Richard Agar. He has proved over four seasons of mediocrity that he is clearly not up to the job and Hull FC will never come close to challenging for silverware while he is our coach.
Thousands of fans are already "staying away" as you will see in our drop in attendences and, if Richard Agar is still in charge for the beginning of the season 2012, you will see a very alarming further drop in season pass sales.
You have purchased very much a grade "A" club when it comes to matters away from the pitch but unfortunately when it comes to actually competing in SL, we have a grade "B" squad with a grade"C" coach.
We all know that you are an intelligent man with a track record of success that is second to none so I'm sure that you will make all the right decisions for our club to succeed at the highest level. However, the first and most important issue to address is to find us a proven top class coach.

| I will be getting one no matter who is in charge. My 7 year old son has become a Hull FC fanatic this year and I couldn't not let him go next year. He is outside now playing rugby with his 4 year old brother, scoring many a try as numerous FC players, even Luauki has scored a couple It would break his heart if I told him we aren't going because Richard Agar is our coach. And to be honest, mine too.
I want Agar to go too, but who on this thread has said they wouldn't go if Agar is still here, are using it as an excuse not to go anyway?
Who would we need to get for this to be a complete turnaround by fans?

I said i wasn't going to renew last year, but eventually decided to get one as he may just somehow pull of a miracle and improve on the 6th we got last season. It proved to be a stupid decision on my part as i have missed more home games than i have been to. Yet somehow managed to get to all the away games barring Catalans.
What I will do next season if he is in charge is continue to follow us on the road but not at home.

If anything, for me it's the opposite. I'm looking for excuses to still do a 150 mile round trip of a Friday night. The evidence is that against the top teams we are very consistent and lose 5 out of every 6 games, so really I can't go to any of these games and expect a positive result at all. That leaves the derbies, where we've won about 1 in 3 under Agar, and the likes of Wakefield/Harlequins etc where usually we get a result in a poor quality game. It's not compelling. Thinking back to the night of that play-off win against Bradford, the atmosphere and confidence we had on show that night were utterly compelling reasons to work your life round the rugby. That's not the case at the moment.

Good question. The sort of coach Hudgell has said he's off to Australia shortly to bring back, ie youngish assistant in a successful Aus club, with decent contacts, as a minimum. Tbh I think quite a few would be swayed by just some sort of visible change to evidence that the new ownership won't just be more of the same.

Thats the thing that worries me most. They are getting rid of a coach who seems to get the most out of average players (this year the exception) and going looking for someone who can take them to the next level.
I really hope we don't get left behind.

Ok further
TBF we are miles behind the top teams, which I know we shouldn't be, but I meant the teams we are competing with mid table.
My God, we've sunk low

| Didn't renew my pass this year, the first time since 1996 i think! It took me two seasons to come to that after putting it off hoping next season will be better.
I have only attended one game this year at the KC, although i'm pleased at the news of AP taking us over i will not set foot in the KC again while Agar is here!!!

Top post, agree with everything. (Apart from the 7 year old kids bit, I'm 19 this month and still do that against my Dobbins mates!)

| I and my family(3 generations)/friends totalling about 20 have not not bought passes for 2 seasons now and will not while Agar is still there. The biggest worry for me is if Agar starts next season in charge he could screw it up before AP acts thus writing off yet another season. If he goes at the end of the season we will be back on board the next day because our club should be in finals of competitions not aiming just to get into the top 8.

| I like most will probably not renew my pass. I agree with what most have said with regard to the club and coach. I am concerned that some of you think that the coach will still be her at the start of next season and he may be given a few games before any action is taken.
In my view that should not happen. He should have gone before the start of this season and he should certainly have gone after that first match against Leeds.
I now do not listen to what he says about the club etcetera as I have little or no faith in him. I do not recall over the past fifty years, another coach being given so much time to produce so little [remember that this is 'his team' now].

This is precisely what happened this season and, by God, there was reason enough to act after those "few games". Thing is, even if he had gone, say after Quins, you've then got the massive problem of finding the new man, persuading him to come, then playing a blinder with the cards Agar has dealt him. This will be the exact situation next year. We just never seem to learn.
For me, Agar should go now - the end of the season is too late. Quite apart from the fact that so many clubs are even now in the hunt there may not be much choice if we delay, the new coach must have time to recruit at least a couple of his own choice players and have a full off-season preparing and forming the team into something that resembles a top four side.
This last point being mainly a mental attitude and culture transformation. No mean feat and one which I think will take more time than there will be if Agar hangs on until the end of the current campaign.
