Which is why I made very few posts on here last week, just boring!

I don't think it will change that much this week to be fair. After the initial joy of winning a game subsides people will take stock and look at the bigger picture and realise we are still a long way off challenging for anything this year.

A couple of concerns yesterday was how slow we were to form scrums when down and time was running out, Obst was always first there but the rest plodded along. Also Tickles conversions in situations like that need speeding up. When you are in a situation like that every second "Usually" counts.
One particular scrum we had the front row and second row got packed down quite quickly and some of the crowd were getting on the refs back to stop the clock, but with no loose man packed down he isn't going to. Eventually Horne packed down and the ref stopped the clock.
This is not a dig at Agar but something experienced players should be well aware of.
Whether it was down to them thinking they were beat or just a lack of concentration is another matter.

From the highlights I've seen, it's good to see the back rowers running wide and trying their arm. I often get sick and tired of seeing 2nd rowers, not just ours, playing as extra props when there is so much more they can offer.

Yup. Still plenty of things to be concerned about but a day or two off and just enjoying an all-too-rare win can't do any harm. icon_smile.gif

It's no more tedious and boring than scouring for positives

I was there yesterday and Sean Long only came to life in that last 15 minutes or so - still, I'm pleased that he did! In the end, salvaging a win from that position was a good effort but if we don't win our next two then it'll count for nothing. Cas will be coming here full of confidence and I think it'll be a tough game.

Yes it is. Repeating the same thing day, after day, after day is boring.

There is no 'scouring' for the fact that we scored 26 unanswered points yesterday. That is a positive that smacks you straight in the face.

You know that might actually be a negative.

In terms of positives, 26 unanswered points is pretty good. hey only managed 18, I think.

It is indeed a negative, we won which is great however we let a team put 30 past us which is very poor so very little to be celebrating imo. It is very worrying how many points have been shipped past us this season...

Or 26 unanswered points against a side which beat Leeds and Saints away from home quite comfortably.

Just for balance.
