Indeed, writing Horne off is harsh, if he has a good season and has managed his diabetes better then we should look to retain him, if he is still struggling then he'll know in his own mind if he wants to carry on.'"
It is harsh to write him off but if he has another injury run this season then we need to get rid, no room for sentiment in sport no matter how long he has been at the club. Calders was let go due to his injuries and if Horne has another spell off the pitch injured then he should suffer the same fate.

I would have to agree that one more season with similar appearance figures ought to bring an end to his time at the club (assuming a replacement can be found). I still have my fingers crossed that he will return to fitness and remain injury-free - when he was fit this year he turned in some great performances.

| He had a couple of really good games early on when Long was out injured (think one was quins at home) and he was partnered by Turner.
I do hope he turns it around and shows us the player he can be.

Bout time. Now we know what the Berrigan issue is too i guess.
Wonder how many overseas players will start to ask for early releases now and return home.

Does seem a bit of a coincidence, with him getting off the quota then seeming to be on his way back to Australia.

Eye. Wonder how many Warrington and Wigan players wont last the next 12 months.
We now know how clubs manage to get round the salary cap. The offshore payments which have always been rumoured wont be declared as they aren't UK earnings.
Imagine been Berro and getting (for example) 160k basic plus 100k per year offshore. If the 100k is now subject to 40-50% tax he'll be significanlty worse off. Suddenly a 220k deal in Oz may look more appealling.

A good thing overall as it will mean Aussie players will be very reluctant to come over and we should start to see a lot more home grown talent in the SL as this starts to take hold. If clubs start looking at ways around it then we will see more clubs hit the wall financially. The salary cap is there for a reason, not just to facilitate an even competition but to also give teams the ability to make a profit or at least not fall further and further into debt by trying to keep up with other teams.

| I think with no imports we would still have a fairly reasonable set up... certainly a lot better off than most.
In actual fact get rid of em all and lets have a import free super league!! And possibly a decent national side

Would depend on how their deals are structured, at a guess.

[quote="The Reason":3e09qe5x]Hi Andy
The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

Not O'Meley but I'd imagine Lauaki and Moa will be on the look out for better deals.
The pound is weak and in two seasons the NRL we need to find 50 to 60 players for the two new sides.
