I think he's contracted to Titans until end 2014 ? If so we're offering him one more year than they have already committed to which doesn't seem excessive. I'd like that third year to be an option for us but at the end of the day the world isn't an ideal place. Ideally Danny Nicklas would be the next England captain and we'd have grown our own scrum half so to speak. He isn't and we couldn't get our first choice. Prince is hardly a bad second choice in the current market IMO.

Agree, was a classy player, but not committed, injury prone and on stupid money (like Seymour).

I honestly thought Mcdonnell was awful at the start of last year, but when he settled he started to look a good player, he is probably the best available option for us for next season IMO.

Scott Prince has been one of the best halfbacks in the NRL for the last 10 years. We are getting him on the wrong end of his age but he is still very fit and has bags of experience. It's always a risk with halves from the NRL but he played 22 games last year and his talent is undoubted.

If he has the desire then he will be a sensational signing. If he is coming for the money then it could be a disaster.

When you look at Dykes I guess that Princes age is a worry, but Dykes came with an injury problem anyway, then again McKinnon was on a big wage and a long contrcat as is seymour and yet it appears that pearson is willing to pay them off so whose to say should Prince have problems in the third year then he will not do the same. In the short term the bums on seats element and signing a 'proper' world class 7, and the hype that it will cause at both sides of the world and at our Club have to be exciting.

would be over the moon with prince at the club and would be the best 7 in super league by far hes not injury prone like alot are saying and is still quite pacey with a good step and great kicking game better then a (plan B rangi) imo
and mcdonnel showed he was quite good at some stages last year and he cant of been to happy playing for that useless bunch im sure if we get him gentle will get the best out of him. them 2 potential signings i feel would make us very good contenders

Just on McDonnell, I think fans will be surprised. He is very goo accelleration and has excellent footwork. He drops the odd ball but so does every fullback. I think he will go really well for us.

Listening to Mcrae`s podcast he said that we would probably have room for only 1 of either Mcgoldrick or Aspinwall, if we sign Prince and Mcdonnell i would assume that we will retain Aspinwall as like you say Paul we have Horne who can cover full back.

Oh I agree with that. But he was a good player when fit.

I agree and whilst working within the cap and lack of talent out there I think he could be a very good signing for us.
