| For the last 20 years the Superleague fixtures have been announced at least 6 months before the football season starts in August.
These SL fixtures are arranged to avoid clashes with the current football season ending in May.
Then the Allams get involved.

| Think it will only strengthen APs resolve to get it sorted one way or the other.

| The rule always used too be that we give way to the football team at the end of their season and they give way to us at the end of ours. Whats so difficult to do they have always looked at our fixtures and asked for away games that weekend just as they have done for Hull Fair. And indeed as we have done with our early season fixtures.
Fact is they simply don't like AP because he's been successful since he left them and he's popular and they are doing everything they can to make it difficult for us. Recently they haven't liked the City fans wanting Adam to buy the Club and to run both teams and the Stadium. And before any City fans start talking about THEIR Stadium it should be remembered that the Stadium wouldn't be there if we hadn't signed up to play there along with City. The only reason the Government allowed the council to spend their gains from the telephone shares on the KCom was because it had to be a shared and community Stadium. However with no community organisations able to afford to use it now and all this going on you would hardly believe it!!

Its a very sad state of affairs and I'm increasingly worried about our future. As I've said before I simply don't see where millions for a new ground is coming from. Up until now we haven't had to play a home game on neutral grounds due to the KCOM being unavailable, a long time ago now but the stadium even hosted both football and rugby in one day in 2007 so that we could be at home in the playoffs and in 2006 we memorably played during Hull Fair with the council and SMC's support.
We can only hope and pray that promotion for City makes them attractive to a buyer, they are now running at a very low cost (about the only positive I can muster for the Allams) and new owners and promotion after a lengthy lockdown would create a boom in City's attendances....but they'll no doubt still want a Premier League sized price to sell and keep playing the pantomime villan
What makes it worse is this all comes at a time when we seem to be getting it together on the field, there's been a few seasons I wouldn't have minded them having to play elsewhere

You'd hope there some kind of 'bad behaviour' clause where the council can take back the SMC, but they've managed to padlock the walkway, evict amateur clubs from the arena and shove millions of pounds of debt into the SMC and the council haven't or can't act, so I don't hold my breath.

The problem with that, is the Allams have somehow managed to load the SMC with millions of pounds worth of debt, the Council can’t afford to take it on. Only a buy out of City will facilitate a change in the SMC and the Shamallams well know it. This is all down to AP suggesting a move from the stadium and their way of hitting back.

If I was Pearson I'd be on the phone to Donny and York asking if we can play our last two games there for free in exchange for bar takings. That would stick two fingers up to the Allams and we don't make much on the day at the KCOM anyway so little money lost. Id happily let anyone who can't drive have a lift if the Covid rules allowed that.

Exactly and this goes to show to even the most ardent of Allam supporters (if there's any left) just how vindictive and petty they really are since the Council stood up to them over the ownership of the KC and surrounding land which they thought was their right to have from the sale of Hull City. This all spawned the the dummy spitting from them stating they were (not might) building their own stadium at Melton. Not forgetting their ill advised attempts to railroad the FA and their own fans into a name change purely because of the word City and the council then knocking a them back on planning applications, since all that its been a long slide of negativity and pettiness on the Allams behalf. Thats without mentioning kicking out the community prjects and sporting clubs that were turfed out (pardon the pun).
The council are now faced with a real dilemma as due to the way the Allams have operated the SMC by running the stadium into so much debt its very difficult for them the council to tear up any agreement in terms of running the stdium without footing the bill left over.
The council made a fundamental error by not ensuring that the SMC was run by a totally separate entity to avoid this situation occuring and having strict performance targets in place to ensure the Stadium did not run up debt.
If anyone believes they are genuinely intent of selling Hull City and the SMC then they need their bumps feeling as I don't think they have ever had any intention of doing so until the gravy train has run completely dry.
Sad times and ones that should never have been allowed to happen after the Lloyd fiasco which was one of the main reasons for the KC so the council could ensure that there would be no repeat of either club being locked out of their grounds.

Good summary. Councils are good for lots of things but they don't think commercially or craftily like private sector companies do. The 'share the profit if you make one' idea for example sounded great on paper...but private sector companies will use any loophole in the book to avoid sharing anything, under Pearson and then Duffen the SMC was ran to just break even under the Allams its become a debt mountain.
Also the SMC being formed by someone with a vested interest in Hull City should never have been allowed (FC were offered a share but either couldn't afford it or didn't want to at the time) it should have been handed to a specialist sports management company like how the Bonus arena is managed by SMG who are vastly experienced in concerts and events.

Its loaded with debt so should be worthless yet it seems the stumbling block to selling Hull City apart from the ridiculous asking price is the SMC.Apparenty the American Buyer who had agreed a price with Allam for the club was then asked to pay 5 million for the SMC so he gave them two fingers and pulled out.

| I think we're going to get this pathetic behaviour from these @rseholes as long as they are running the SMC , Nothing will change until either they leave or we find our own place .

| It’s council owned and was built for two clubs. So has be fair for two clubs. Council will now have to intervene.

Very worrying times for RL at the moment, still no new TV deal and a few clubs having stadium issues. Not what we need during a pandemic and recession.
