| What is everyone arguing about, we've got Morgan and 99% of our fans are happy with him and you've got Agar and....oh wait a minute.
Best way to sort this out (taking the Harry Hill method out of the equation) is wait and see in October who has had the better year then that should give us our answer.

| Quote: Easty "Last season we had alot of our backs out. At one stage we Had Cochayne at FB Charnley from Wigan and Sam Latus at centre.
People forget we had Welham, Colbon, Webster & Chev Walker out for alot of the season, And Briscoe out for 5 weeks.'"
You're never going to get a reasonable debate on here with some Hull fans simply because you follow Rovers. Any critisism of our great club by anyone quickly brings the draw bridge up and instills the seige mentality within some quarters.
There are so many mitigating circumstances as to where both clubs are at.
Hull an established SL side who have had a far superior academy set up in place as compared to Rovers who have been playing catch up and so have snapped up any local product we release as to comply with SL license requirements even if said player is not good enough or SL standard. Up until Rovers promotion any local lad aspiring to be a proffessional player would join Hull or any other Yorkshire SL club for that matter.
So to compare youths developed is unfair as Hull have had it all their own way for years. That being said Rovers over reliance on imports and ways over cheating the system to get players off the quota needs to stop for the youngsters to be able to get a chance.
I do credit Agar with getting rid of the trouble element within our club however but as the o/p said this was supposed to be a debate on coaching ability only and so yes I do rate Morgan over Agar unfortunately.
It's amazing how quickly some our topics degenerate into name calling, slanging and points scoring spoiling many a good debate or topic.

| Agar's win % in SL regular season: 44.77%
Morgan's win % in SL regular season: 48.14%
27 of Morgan's games were as a newly promoted side, while Agar took over a side that had finished 4th the previous season. If you think of the working conditions, facilities and resources available to both coaches then it is even more telling.
Morgan has appeared in the playoffs in 2 of his 4 SL seasons and won one game. Rich Agar has appeared in the playoffs in 1 of his 3 seasons and suffered a resounding home defeat to Morgan.
Agar's superiority to Morgan in bringing through players is being massively overplayed IMO, he has Houghton and Briscoe while Morgan has Welham and Watts. Our two are slightly better overall than their two but it's hardly Busby's babes on either side
I wouldn't want Morgan at Hull because I've grown to dislike him too much now, but I can fully understand why Rovers fans love him and why he gets linked with bigger jobs. Neither of those things can be said about Rich Agar.
It's a sad state of affairs when FC fans are reduced to claiming that because Agar has finishes of 11th, 12th & 6th while in the same time-frame Morgan finished 7th, 4th & 7th that it somehow represents Agar's superiority over Morgan.

Those percentage's suggest neither coach is anything special. Which they aren't.

| I don't think either coach would get offered one of the top jobs in SL so I don't know why everyone is so bothered.
