46188.jpg Hull FC Est.1865... Surviving without a Head Coach since 2008

I love it when people put spelling mistakes in capital letters. It's common knowledge that Wigan offered Long a contract, and to suggest Saints only offered him a one year deal out of sympathy is just silly.

cartoons/WB17.gif I've been on the internet and have already got a sense of the fans' passion for the club. They are very fanatical - Peter Gentle 12th September 2011.
Money doesn't talk it swears, Obscenity who really cares, Propaganda all is phony.
I'm the son and heir of a shyness which is criminally vulgar.
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way.

| Why don't we put the Shouty Woman in charge (the one who does the pre-match).
If nothing else she'd wake them up, God knows I certainly feel like killing someone every time she comes bawling out of the tunnel

HOW on earth do you get NILLED at Wembley ?
When your coach isn't a winner at heart and Gentle is not a winner at heart .
We were a pub team
I coached for a long time and we won 95% of games because winning is a mental state driven by a desire to CRUSH an opposition. Did FC look as though they wanted to Crush Wigan and strangle them until they screamed ? NO
RL is a tough tough game and Maylord She-dong you have no clue
In fact don't ever ever reply to any of my posts again:37721.jpg |

I would have thought you'd have better things to do with your time than come on here and make yourself look daft, what with your team doing so well and all.

| I would pick to coach us Wayne Bennett. But that will never happen due to his family committments. So I would agree with The Key and use our ex players such as Kearney, Swain, Hasler, Peter Sterling to ask for their advice on who would want to come here, who would be best for us etc. They know what the fans want and expect and I believe they would give excellent advice.

| Given who might be available, I would chose Noble- although I appreciate that this thread is more "[iif you could choose anyone[/i" he has though done the sort of job at Wigan which we could do with someone doing at Fc at the moment.
Amongst a host of others, two problems stand out for me at the moment. The first is to get the players to put the Rugby first especially off the field, and the other is, as was witnessed at Beziers, a total deterioration in basic skills, not least ball handling. All the other gripes we might have had this year, like players not attacking the line, are insignificant if we can barely complete a set- or even get through half a set.
On the first point, I think it is a shame that Paul Anderson hasn't had another year or so under Nathan Brown, I don't think the players would act up under him, and he was impressive at the end of last year.
On the second point, I remember reading in Barrie Mac's autobiography that when Tony Smith went to Leeds, training became a different matter all together which impressed Mac most, with a focus on really small things, like where to position the hands when catching passes. A little focus on this wouldn't go amiss at the moment I think.
