| The most depressing thing as a spectator is that Clifford is gonna be fit enough to play, but has got a games ban for getting a shot around the chops a week ago.
These rules need to be reviewed, because they make no sense. This game has half of your season's goals on the line.

It is unfortunate, but with rising insurance costs and the threat of legal action from ex players like fozzars, Goulding etc over head injuries, I think the rfls hands are tied somewhat

| Quote: bonaire "Playing MaNamara would be a disaster and offer us zero attacking threat in their 20.
Moving Hoy is a good option but i would go with Sutcliife who is probably the better defender and offers a bit more size when running the ball.
That said we cant seem to second guess Smith as he continues to play Lane and McIntosh and with Tuimavave well off the pace you can see where Saints will target'"
I would rather have Litten at 6 and Truman at 7, than Mcnamara, I have seen nothing at first team level to suggest he is good enough at this level, people like him but what does he bring to the team
Speed: no
Kicking: no
Makes breaks: No
Passing: No
Defence: Ok for a halfback, nothing special.
I know he is young, but he must have played about 20 games now and hasn't really shown anything. I'd be looking at promote Medforth and use him as back up next season, unless we think Mcnamara can play hooker an is going to vastly improve, I wouldn't be keeping him either.
Biggest game of the season against a full strength and in form Saints, have to take a risk and go at them.

| We're playing Saints at the worst possible time. They're practically full strength and have hit form.
While our form has picked up we're now missing our best player. Gut feeling is Smith will go with McNamara at 7.
We need a 2005 CC semi performance, don't think we've got that in us yet but stranger things have happened

I think you are right, hopefully have Litten on the bench, could sacrifice Dywer and use Cator at hooker for a spell

I'd be more tempted to go the other way and have McNamara on the bench for Dwyer.
Start with Litten, Hoy, Truman.
We need to start fast either way. If Saints get a 8-12 point lead early we've got no chance.

Would pretty much agree with that and whilst Dwyer can create something with his speed unfortunately it is getting outweighed by the poor reads and options he is taking which invariably costs us. If Lane is the 17 tomorrow he really needs to step up. Need the likes of Taylor, Satae, Sao, Fash & Brown if selected to have big games to help us get on top of St's and stop them gaining any momentum with Lomax. Satae especially needs to take the ball in a lot more than he usually does.
Think our biggest concern is our right edge which is and has been poor defensively and feel St's are very likely to exploit that.

The ex players don't have a leg to stand on
All rfl have to do is show plenty of clips of them dishing it out esp fozzard with that massive arm pad!

Maybe but he is and has been guilty of many poor reads that have cost us both in opportunities to score and also giving the opposition opportunities which against St's we can ill afford.
Its ok to throw the ball around but as we have seen when he was at Warrington and Leeds and more so first hand at Hull he doesn't play with any real structure at times and as others have said be it Wire, Leeds or Hull fans he's too much of a headless chicken.

| Not expected or expecting to win, so hopefully we will chance our arm and play off the cuff, target Hurrels side, saints Dont like teams going outwide, they like the forward battle which 99 times out of a hundred they win with ease

| I would play litten FB Hoy at 6. We have nothing to lose and everyone is backing Saints rightly so. But it is the CC and it's all on the day. Play with the effort we have lately and give it a real dig. All we can ask for. Before people start knocking them if we are getting beat remember that this team on paper IMO isn't a top team. Mid table. Let's be honest would Mac Tuime Fash lane Cator Houghton Etc get in any of those teams. Some are coming to the end of there career and others just arnt good enough. I do believe most teams need a Cator and a Fash in the Squad but overall we need a fresh start next year. Saying all that I will be there cheering the lads on and hoping we can put in the performance of the season. If we do then I'll be happy

I could be totally wrong but I have a feeling that McNamara is being considered for a switch to hooker
Just something that was said recently about trying to get him involved and game time.
Therefore, wouldn’t be surprised to see him on the bench and spelled at hooker?
We shall see.

What I've said for ages fash gives his all
But wouldn't get in saints wigan or wire teams
Wire got rid of likes of Mike Cooper and upgraded with Paul Vaughan
People bang on about negative but if we lose tomorrow more than likely gunna be another failed season
How we gunna challenge by keeping players who wouldn't get in top teams
