The wingers should be Martin and Barron
The centres should be Mitch and Wynne
Smith or Litten at Full back, Smith/Macca & Gale in the halves

Not an easy selection. Doesn't seem to be an awful lot of scope for dropping players.
Outside backs seems to be a choice between 2 academy players or 1 and someone out of position. |

He’s a hooker.
Showed some decent form at half back but we have specialist players for those positions.
He isn’t a centre or a second rower  |

Brian Smith was a great Coach and the best that I have seen at Hull in turning around and improving the team. He helped turn average club players like Andy Dannatt and Paul Eastwood into Interationals.
Any good Coach, in any era, should be able to improve the existing squad and then further enhance it with player transfers. |
