Fantastic experience for our young players. When you see the intensity and physicality of that match you have to think it's better for their development than the reserves competition where there seems to be a game a fortnight against variable opposition.

I'm not sure exactly what our relationship is with Haven. We seem to be running Academy events at their ground and I heard talk about a college scheme that sounded a bit like what we have with Bishop Burton. I hope we foster a close relationship with them. They are RL daft in those parts and a bit of an untapped resource.

I wonder with John Kear leaving Bradford if the dual reg arrangement will not be renewed. I guess his relationship with Hull was key to it.

Whitehaven sounds a good option as an alternative.

Just watched the Under 18s match against Huddersfield, and our number 10 was pretty dominant with and without the ball. Looked at the teamsheet, and his surname is Radford - is it Lee's son? Looks pretty good
