When you get the chance to promote the game on terrestrial TV like the BBC its important that viewers especially new to the game not only see the sport but also see that its played in modern stadiums. The TV coverage at a modern ground actually adds to the game and my concern about Leigh apart from a lack of fans is when i have seen games at Leigh on TV the stadium doesnt come across well on TV.This is probably due to the lack of a good high position for the TV cameras.
The other concern for me its an artificial pitch which for rugby league i personally dont like'"
I agree with your sentiments regarding the Leigh Sports Village, but the pitch is grass, and usually is in top class condition.

They never question or fight against these ideas and just go along with it
The RFL and clubs lack of ambition is why the game is nearly dead'"
Or perhaps the lack of noise from the clubs, demonstrates their insight into the issues of organising the event in the present circumstances.

| Good luck to people entering the ballot. As it turns out I have my second vaccination that day so I'll stick to watching the game on TV.
A shame as the semi can be such a great occasion if you win. Fingers crossed we''ll be scrambling for Wembley tickets in just over three weeks.

What a farce, so potentially 6 individuals from 6 households/bubbles can potentially watch 3 games together...what's the point of making the event socially distanced at all then? I'm not sure that's what the Government are recommending in their guidelines.
I'm not applying for tickets as disappointed with the way this event has been handled, and I'm not jabbed yet so so not up for sitting with a load of randoms.

Regardless of what people’s views are regarding the triple header and the venue choice, I’m sure many of us will agree that this is a rather odd thing to do given the current situation.
What’s the point of holding a socially distanced event, yet sitting people together who aren’t from the same household or bubble? Once more, it just goes against all logic.
The RFL have had another shocker here. If they weren’t going to do this right, then they shouldn’t have bothered at all and just held it behind closed doors.

I just don't get all this RFL bashing.
I'm sure their decision making and validation will be based on more information then fans opinions on a message board.
Also this rule of 6 isn't a RFL ruling either but government guidance on fans return to elite sport.
Some people will never be happy or satisfied.
There's a product there to be watched at a venue that will both maximise safety and minimise cost.
It's your choice to attend or not based on the criteria set out.

| Just caught a bit of the fa Cup final at Wembley and the bottom tier seams to have missed the social distancing remit!

Well in the case of the challenge cup semi finals they deserve all the bashing possible.
Did we have to have the womens final shown on the day NO
Did we have to have two semi finals at the same venue on the same day NO
Is the Leigh village with its 3000 limited capacity suitable for a semi final NO
Is the Leigh village central in travel distance for the semi finalists NO
It certainly doesnt maximise safety but is purely a cost cutting exercise by the RFL at the expense of fans with the RFL knowing it is on TV with the BBC which will mitigate the complaints.
My other criticism is where do the womens tickets go given its likely that the two finalists will be Castleford and St Helens

Completely agree. And and a good point on Cas and Saints getting extra tickets, I'd love to do a questionnaire on how much about the Women's game some of these new ticket winners know...

Is our Umbrella end open?
Kick the band out, there’s another eight places.
