| Need to run at Kelly, he is injured and misse a lot of tackles, couple of hits from Ellis to put him off his game.
If he plays 50/50 game, if he doesn't we will be clear favourites.
I agree with other posters if he isn't fit I wouldn't risk him, big game coming up and they will need him for the middle 8's if they end up there.

| Rovers have an 80% home win ratio and are 4/6 with the bookies, right? We are complete underdogs in this one.

| kelly will play even if he's on one leg. What choice does chester have? He can't surrender a top 8 place to the arch rivals (albeit only once everyone reaches 20) so has to go for it. We really need to improve our kick chase which has been really poor at times recently. rovers back 3 give them a great platform when allowed to and they play with good intensity which we need to match. We need to hit kelly hard when we have the ball, both to take energy out of him and because he misses plenty of tackles. Winnable game but we need to be at our best and I still think rovers will probably take the points but we'll beat wigan next week anyway

| We just need to play like we did at Newcastle against them, even with campese who is the best creative HB they've got, he was non existent because we didn't let him get in the game, Ellis tore him apart.

Our intensity won the game that day. Brilliant defensive line speed and great enthusiasm and technique when we have the ball. Easier said than done to replicate it IMO

| I honestly think we'll batter rovers on Friday. We've got a sniff/taste for the 8 now, whichever word you want to use.
To get the result on Sunday we had to really dig deep and there was a lot of grit and determination to see and that was with numerous first team players out. Castleford are no pushover this season and was in great form!

Pretty much what you predicted at Easter. Then last week you said you were washing your hands of our piece of club. Jesus wept.

I agree, but the choice presumably otherwise is Blair and recalling Connor Robinson, who is a year older than Abdull and getting good reports from Halifax.

The feeling I'm getting from the Fax board is that Connor has signed for them permanently.

What bookies are you betting at Mrs B?
We are odds on, best priced at 4/5.
Rovers 5/4 against.
Oh, and we'll win, again.

It wasn't Easter.. It was the Magic Weekend.

| I just think that the results weekend gone has in a way dictated how this goes, Chester must now see that even if they win Friday it's going to be a slim chance them getting the 8th place and a bruising derby potentially risking more injuries or worsening any niggles could reduce their chances of winning the CC semi significantly.
The CC is all they realistically have and as another poster says putting all their eggs into that basket might be the best thing. I think it has by far the greater reward than to win what is really a pointless league match in the grand scheme of things.
Niether of us or Rovers are going to trouble the top 4 IMO and by not risking everything could put them in a better position to actually reach a final. Even if they lost the semi they could regroup and get out the middle 8s no problems
I understand that winning against us gives them chance to make the 8 but is that reward enough to sacrifice a chance at reaching Wembley and not only a shot at a trophy but the financial rewards also?
I think us by 12
