As for an attacking coach, I don't imagine they'll come in and be expected to teach Leon & Sneyd how to do x,y & z better. Saying that, a player is always capable of improvement.

I see it more that they'd be the ones studying opposition weaknesses, work with the halfbacks on set plays & how to exploit those weaknesses, working one on one with non halfback players on how to improve their own weaknesses, general game management, last tackle options, stuff like that. Basically taking some of the burden off the halfbacks & Radford.

Whether Webster is the man to do that, none of us really know. His playing record has little to do with it, and I wouldn't read into his time with Wakey too much either, their squad/resources he had to work with are that poor.

unsure, you may well be right. But with Radford, Last and Horne, with senior players in Pryce/Ellis etc. we should have enough going for us (and recently, it seems we have)

I can't see whether Webster is a good or bad choice, one thing I can say is it wont do any harm.

What did all of those man united superstars think being coach by some failed scottish ex pro for 25 years or whatever it was?

Surely the attacking coaching is all about structure, organisation and making sure everyone knows where tehy're supposed to be and when. The halfs will be integral to that but they don't coach it

Not sure why anybody needs coaching it. If I'm running a play as a half back I want the players where I want them, not some structure somebody else has put in to place. Isn't organising part of the HB's job description?

You're probably right there. That's why you'll find no one in sport uses coaches of any sort!!!!

The very best of the best in all sports are constantly coached and even change coaches whilst at the top, yet you think players that have had a couple of good games are above that.

Management waffle, cliches?
You mean explaining why doing X can improve things, it's the job of the manager to make things work as best as they can with the tools/people they have.
You use everything possible to make it so, if you don't look at options and avenues even outside of your field you're less likely to succeed, if you can't trust your workers and gain their respect again you're less likely to succeed.

On the basis of your limited response especially the first one you appear not to understand much of anything with regard to leadership and being successful, that's fine but at least have the courtesy to give at least a little explanation as to what you don't 'get' or why you disagree with what I said.

Yeah, because signing a coach for the sake of it is the answer. Not needed and has a rubbish record.
