| Difficult for the club as I doubt radford and pearson want someone suspected of dealing in class a drugs hanging around the squad but not sure where we stand legally

Difficult one legally perhaps. He hasn't been charged and isn't being extradited. Not selecting him or involving him, could that be construed as restraint of trade?

Can't see much happening anytime soon tbh. It took 2 years for ASADA & NRL to ban the player caught up in the peptides scandal. To top it all off, the largest ban was about 6 games iirc.'"
I think it got rubbished last week. Their lawyer said any talk of legal action was premature.
Unfortunately the nrl has to deal with bigger wit journalists than Fewings. Idiots who demand players get banned immediately when there not but want human rights when they are banned. See the Brett Stewart incident v Kerisom Auvua.

| Surely the forum legal experts could advise Mr. Pearson in this awkward situation.

Ah so its the Dull Daily Fail as a source of news
This is Reardon all over again
He should face the music
Rememeber when we "signed Rangi" wasnt he missing for a week or 2 from Cas due to popping to court down under?
Why cant the player take 2 weeks unpaid leave and see whats doing, after all, thats all it is, hes innocent isnt he? he goes to cop shop, tell them he was with his lass on the times of the events and its all gravy, we get a player back after a coulple of weeks who can continue to warm the bench
No doubt the sock fillers will be happy to fund his hiding here

| Whether he's guilty or not, how can his mind be fully on playing with this hanging over him? If he's innocent, go home and get it dealt with, even if it takes a few weeks.

Agreed. Club can't force him to go back presumably though.

| The problem (for him) is that if he goes home, he'll be charged, and it will then be up to him to prove his innocence. That might take years.
If he really is innocent, then what's the answer?

He doesn't have to prove his innocence.

Something as big as this isn't going to a few weeks . If he goes back , I doubt we'll see him again .

| Don't get all this "he should go back" business.
If he's innocent then let the aussie authorities force him to go back and pay him and us appropriate compensation afterwards.
If he's guilty then he'd be nuts to go back willingly.

| If he goes back and is bailed, he will not be able to fly back here. That will be a condition with such a serious offence.
