you missed the point there

A city mate has just told me its currently all ticket.

Perhaps this will change when they lose a lot of passholders and increase the walk ups in the championship

Something that could possibly work for most parties is a system they used at the Suncorp stadium when I went last year. You can print out a ticket with a QR code from home or save an image of one on your phone, then scan your ticket/phone. It would save people having to make an unnecessary trip into town centre. Works really well for Brisbane.

I can and will organise myself, but many won't be bothered.

Where does it actually say that beer will cost more at rugby than at football?

All I can see in the club statement is that we are seeking assurances from the SMC that the cost will be the same.

Doesn't bother me anyway because I prefer to drink good beer before or after the match but I can appreciate the concern of those fans who like a pint in the ground.
