TBF Graeme Horne does seem to have a go at him for giving the penalty away.
Perhaps his comments were aimed at him instead?

Horne and Weyman can be seen having a row.Ref hears swear words and sends Weyman off.
Both players state that they were in fact rowing and that the words were aimed at Horne.
With no proof other than the ref's say so (His mic didn't even pick it up) on a grade B offence (1-2 games) they throw 2 games at him.
Yet Peacock says something very similar and because the ref turns a deaf 'un it's like it never happened.

| More made up bulle from the RFL, the Weyman incident is so inconclusive as to be a joke, whereas the Peacock abuse is far more conclusive and is audible for all to hear..more conscious bias and double standards...

| but can the referee send weyman off for foul and abusive language regardless as to who it is aimed at?
(i know in this case the case revolves around swearing at the ref, but technically, can you be dismissed if you swear at a fellow player?)

would the use of the c word be viewed as a more serious use of f & a language?

| I remember the days not so long ago when players were respectful of referees and you never saw players openly arguing with and abusing referees. I'm all for sending players off who do and applaud roby for doing it on Sunday. weyman is clearly saying something to the ref. He runs right past him whilst saying something and then turns around and looks at him. horne is nowhere near where weyman is looking.
The only issue here is consistency and referees need to stop taking cr4p from players and start sending them off. It will soon stop. wigan and leeds are by far the worst offenders and something needs to be done to clamp down on it

| Didn't Danny Brough get away with something similar with his infamous drop goal that wasn't?

I don't generally agree with you Jake but I do here. If the RFL want the game to be considered a family game, they need to instruct refs that foul language that the ref or TJ hears, regardless of who it's directed at, is first warned, then yellow then red. The two Leeds incidents, which had the bad luck to be caught on video, are the tip of the iceberg and the whole thing needs to be stamped out now, before it brings the game down further.
Disclaimer - I realise, having been on the Leeds forum, that the two Leeds players did absolutely nothing wrong and never have and that other clubs' fans should stop being so beastly.

| One of those first things we got taught playing Sunday league rugby was always call the ref Sir. For a seasoned pro, ex Origin player like Weyman to speak to the ref in that manner is embarrassing (likewise with Peacock). He should know much better.
