When did you become a troll?
I'm not fed up with false dawns. I'm no glory boy. I just want a decent team with some attractive rugby being played on occasion. We're clearly heading in the right direction, even if we only beat mid table sides. Go support Celtic if you can't man up and take a few losses.

I'll let someone else dispute the claim that we were playing a "team of pensioners" as you put it. All I will say is that you can only play what is in front of you. And we have every right to praise the team on getting a victory regardless of the opposition. Nobody is claiming we're world beaters all of a sudden.

| We had 4 regular props out and the team still did a job on Salford.A lot of the players put they hands up last night.
If people stop away then they missed a good game.I can understand fans missing game if they are short of money But not just on the back of one bad game.

| Time for the VoiceOfDerision to just silently delete this forum from his favourites (Leaving just his normal left-handed websites) and go watch the mighty Tiggers.

| Quote: Mild mannered Janitor "I couldn't make the Widnes game after it was rescheduled due to the pitch relaying in the summer. I went tonight.
I mentioned when the Widnes and Wakey games were change, giving us 7 home games out of 8 ( the away game being the rovers away derby) that attendances would be affected by so many home games on the bounce being unaffordable by some. With the abject performance of the Widnes game, it's not a surprise that there was sub 10k.
The crazy thing is, after A poor performance there was always likely to be a reaction from the team! yet many stay away and didn't see a genuinely good display. Defence was outstanding, some good breaks, some players coming to prove a point (which on the whole they did) and a better show of discipline. One of the negatives to highlight was our lack of pace.
I suppose the question is, how many good performances will it take to get people back in?
Oh, and the atmosphere was excellent.'"
Agree with pretty much all the above MMJ. Moving games in itself was always going to have an affect and a particularly with cash flow for the casual supporter as it a big ask in the current climate to shell out weekly for a good number. I am sure if the team show the spirit & desire they did on Friday consistently then the numbers will increase steadily. It's always harder to get fans back than it is to lose them.

| Well that's me buggerd for the cup and Hudds matches being on Thursdays...I can understand the logic of playing the cup match on Thursday so that we have a week turn-around but the Sky Thursday night games really cheese me off.Dont they understand people work shifts and find it hard to get time off.....I work 5pm to 3am and have set hols so have to miss them.

I know you are joking mate, the thing is though on a serious note, I do miss not going to games . I was a season ticket holder for years, but having retired I am having to cut the proverbial cloth. I will attend as many games as I can, but Widnes type show ups do take the wind out of your sails. I was sorry I missed the Salford game, but there or not I am always 100% B + W.

| Quote: Airlie Street "Its pretty widespread and certainly not banned on health and safety grounds as the police are aware of the actual attendances.
I can only tell you what I know from the grounds I used to work at. They need to know how many people are actually accounted for[i in the ground[/i for emergency evacuations etc. You add a couple of thousand on and there is an incident and people need to be accounted for, you are breaching health and safety (and possible risking peoples lives). Anyway as someone else has already pointed out, why would Hull do this when the user agreement states we have to pay x amount of money on attendances over 7500. It would be pretty stupid to announce more in the ground and have to pay the SMC extra for "ghost fans" that don't exist just to make the KC Stadium look more full than it is.

| To be honest, its utterly pointless complaining about the days of the week. There will NEVER be a day of the week where it won't clash with work or other commitments for everyone.
I work 9-5:30 Monday to Friday so any weeknight is fine. I have the full weekend I can spend with the kids.
Having games on a Sunday completely wrecks that day and it's spent waiting for 3pm.

I thought the "spending time with the kids" argument was a positive for Sunday games? How many families don't want their young kids getting home at 10pm at night on a Friday?
