Hull FC have confirmed they will play Salford Red Devils at the KC Stadium on Thursday, April 3 in the fourth round of the Tetley’s Challenge Cup. The clubs were drawn against each other in one of five all Super League ties with the Black and Whites aiming to repeat last season’s run to the final at Wembley. The tie will kick-off at 8pm and season pass holders have until the day before the game to reserve their usual seat. All remaining seats will then go on general sale on match day. Never should be Thursday.

We won't have fancied the Sunday giving us a 4 day turnaround to Huddersfield on the Thursday. Friday would've been our choice, I'm sure. That the PL have a 24hr rule regarding ground use before soccer matches is a myth, therefore it will be Allam, in his capacity as owner of the SMC that makes the decision as to how long is necessary to prepare a pitch for a PL match, and he that has vetoed Friday night.

On the plus side, Thursday gives us 6 days following our match this Friday against Salford but only give Wire 4 days after [itheir[/i trip to Hudds this Sunday. Far from ideal for the fans, though, and yes, the solution which favours only City out of the 3 interested clubs. Is it any real disadvantage to them us playing the night before, anyway, or is it all in Allam's fevered imagination?

Yep, all we'll need to do is pray it doesn't rain, and then pray we can hold onto the ball when we pass it. Easy.

Wel I'm pretty happy with the Thursday night. We need as much recovery time before the Huddersfield time as is practical.

The prices are reasonable too.

Only free would be reasonable after the Widnes game and if we lose on Friday then it'll need to be free to get anyone there. 2 wins from 7 and a must win game in the cup with hardly anyone in will be a pretty dire position.
And without Ellis if we're really unlucky.

Lose on Friday and I don't think they'll need to open the South Stand for the cup game.Well be looking at a 5k crowd.
