Knew I saw Weyman give a cheap elbow to Houghton's face. Prat. Him and Poore both at it.

Should we let off some flares? That could prove awkward, embarrassing and premature in the event of 1) not delivering, and 2) claiming we were never bothered about the contest.

Now Briscoe's gone, Yeamo looks extremely confident today. Massive game from him and I'm his worst critic.

Feka and Paea are going to be our driving force - did Micky play about 60 minutes today in total? His runs were hurting them and well worth the money. Feka looked good, including a masterly side-step.

Rankin is a find. He soaks up the pressure and looks a little mouthy too. Could be our "Dobson" if we get the partnership right.

One things for sure, we have some fantastic young kids coming through. Stark and Hadley are going to be pushing for places in the next year or so.

Last word to Ellis. Very dangerous down that left edge and exactly where he needs to be playing. NOT as a wrecking ball, Mr Gentle.

According to that he was good mates with Mickey Paea's brother Eddie. Good that there's a familiar face (I assume they're familiar with each other) to help him settle in to British culture.

I have to say, in the face of the Rovers fans hilarity at the try celebrations, that there was something of the "arranged" about the celebrations after Talanoa scored. He was running back and the team were almost calling him back to the huddle, laughing their heads off. So not quite going mad in a friendly.

Good to see us taking a game against Rovers seriously and wanting to win it, even if it is a friendly. We may have won a few recent games, but I agree that that they always seemed more up for it. Hopefully we can get the same level of "up" for Leeds, Pies, Sts and Wire.

In fairness some of our best performances over the years have been against Wire, Leeds and Saints.

Twitter - @MaddyHFC:

Quote: Dave K. "Think we are fine at halfback, our main issue has been kicking and now we have a player who can kick long and short, think Horne and Rankin will work well, team nearly picks It's self for first game IMO.

Shaul
Lineham
Crooks
Yeaman/Arundel Yeaman for me.
Talanoa
Rankin
Horne
Paea
Houghton
Green
Ellis
Pitts
Westy

Whiting
Heremia
Feka
Watts'"

I'd go with that side.

@leefc74: In @Stilts84 post match interview he says yesterday's OTT try celebrations were due to Radders imposing a £5 fine on the last man in #COYH
