I can happily talk about your new signings all day long, this Rankin, yet another cost cutting measure. Not good enough in anyway shape or form to be good enough in the halves.
I think Paea is quality and I actually think Talanoa could go well, the rest will prove to be very poor.

I was slated on here for not wanting him at the time.

Can you explain how it can be a cost cutting measure if we are the same level of cap as last year?
Also have you ever seen Rankin play?

| Anyone think we are finished with player movement ?
I did wonder if Talanoa gets his visa and Biggs his early release if they would look to release Crookes. Also with Rankin being able to play fullback too I wonder if Shannon McDonnell's days are numbered.
I would still like to see us get another front rower, another prospect would be nice!

I'm not saying Hull are cutting costs - but I [ibelieve[/i that there is some stretch in the cap available through carouselling fed-trained players.
If a club is taking advantage of that elasticity one year, but not the next it might be that it cuts its wage-bill while still being able to honestly claim to be spending the up to the cap.
I should admit that I've never seen it confirmed that this is the case, but that is my reading of the rules.
It would provide a partial explanation to all those fans who've wondered how another club can assemble a stronger squad on supposedly the same budget as their own.

Correct, more cost cutting at Rovers starting with the warm weather training....

Personally happy with the from row, will give much needed game time to Bowden and Green and might see Tyson Wilson and Ryan Wilson get some game time, we have to start trusting the young players if we want to follow the likes of Wigan and Leeds.
No point signing a project player who might block the path of these players, it happened under Agar, were he wouldn't play the young kids and we are now suffering now because of this.

With also have Biggs who doesn't count on the cap, so that might mean we are paying more money on salary of players than last year.
Still waiting for RP answer on how Hull are costing cutting on players salaries.
I juts think Hull are using their cap more wisely, Releasing Holdsworth has probably allowed us to sign 3 players in his place.

It's not cost cutting, just bad salary cap management leaving us short so we can't bring in the better quality half we really need
