Look all I'm doing is repeating what I've been told by a player at the club if you don't want to believe it don't your choice.

Hmmmm, not convinced.'"
Miller must feel like a little boy lost now, it's gonna be difficult for him from now on, it could go badly wrong for him.

| Makes me feel sick, the players didnt or wouldnt stand up and be counted when needed, PG was hung out to dry on Thursday night and they all cleared off on there pre-booked jollies.
There was flaws to PG, he made errors, some he addressed and corrected, some he didnt or never got chance to.
Recruitment always is an isuue, the players he maybe wanted slipped by, others were already tied down and hard to move on and we've amybe signed some that were not fully needed but have been brought in to do a job and bridge a gap.
There is obviously something not right off the pitch, maybe this will now be addressed d. But maybe this time in 2 years we will be talking about the same old things as the coach at the time picks the knife out his back as he vacates the building.
Injuries again have played a major part, loss of Ellis , Holdsworth and the Seymour issue meant we only started our season half way through and were then fighting to get the playing combiosright.
Young players have flourished and have been given there chance, putting more in could have been a step too far so under perfroming players kept there shirts
Id like to thank Peter for his time at the club, people may say we havent moved on but id disagree with that and we are a better club in many aspects than when he arrived, hes built blocks for someone to step on, not all are stable but hes done his part

Will he also have the balls to get rid of some of the underperforming, unprofessional players or will their new coach protect them?'"
Time will tell.
When AP arrived he spoke specifically about 2 or 3 players and ther professional attitude, Lynch and Houghton amazed AP, i think he spoke if Tickle too in the same way. SO one of those left. Will he look at those atitudes that dont sit right with the club? One would hope

Gentle has done more for us than Sharp or Agar did and I regret his going much more than I ever did theirs.
We can only hope that the new coaching team don't undo much of his good work.

Good post Hutchie sums up my thoughts. For me PG has changed the club for the better and improved alot of things. We have to remember the sorry state of affairs the club was in when AP bought it and PG came in.
The players especially the senior ones have let the club down and PG & AP with the certain performances they have thropn out and it is clear to see as even without a coach a pro team would have put a better performance and shift in than they did on Thursday night.
If I'm honest I would say PG has been shafted from within by certain members and if he has I hope anyone involved is shown the door.

| There may be some conspiracy going on , we'll probably never know. I think it's more likely to be about communication though. Gentle had been used to coaching the elite of Australian RL players most of whom as well as being skilled athletes were also pretty bright and able to understand quickly and instinctively what a coach wanted. That was hugely different from coaching a disparate bunch of Super League players who range form decent experienced players to being green and thick and all grades in between. Maybe a more basic regime is needed? Radford would provide that but I just can't see how you can keep people who have been part of the failed coaching set up especially as they've been involved in previous failures as well.

| Sack/Appoint/Fail/Repeat. It's getting boring.
I'm sorry it didn't happen for Gentle. We need a change, but I don't think Radders can provide it. I hope I'm wrong.

| Sad to see PG go. I want to thank him for all his hard work, and being a true gent, but after Thursdays performance it was on the cards. If only some of the rumours are true, he hasn't been the first coach to be stabbed in the back at Hull FC, I just hope he's the last.
Radford for me is not the answer, maybe if it was a couple of years in the future, but not now. On the issue of Cooke being involved, wouldn't bother me too much if he did a good job.
I'll back the club whatever, but I'm not overly happy with events it has to be said.

| Sorry but this is a massive over-reaction unless PG wanted out himself.
Undue pressure from fans/Owner, unrealistic targets (we have no right to win anything). If fans think things were just going to improve massively in 2 years from the awful situation we had then you're bonkers.
Yet overall we have improved, both on and off the field, despite many people who want to ignore aspects that don't suit their agenda's
To think we can just start winning stuff with the squad we have is/was unrealistic and yet we were a performance away from doing just that despite some horrible injury luck.
I think Holdsworth is still affected by his head injury and isn't the man for the job in the halves, the fact we had no real back up halves to slot in and had to bring in a massive gamble in Millar shows how desperate we were.
Whether there is/has been disharmony in the dressing room I have no idea but franly I don't see it, saying that some players just aren't mentally tough enough and this spreads like a disease on the field, I think we desperately need a sports pyschologist because the defeat last thursday (or rather the manner) reeked of players that were gone mentally after 15 minutes as opposed to just being physically outplayed.
This defeatist/losing it in the head attitude has being on display before (it happens to a lot of clubs/players through a season).
ATEOTD getting rid now is just such a big mistake, fans here were saying winning the CC/getting to the final was just papering over the cracks, FFS, we got to a final, only one club other than Wigan can actually better our season in terms of being in a final and winning something. Some might see this as but we DID reach a final with some oustanding performances.
and unless we get someone who can win us a trophy next year then the disjointed situation of turning over a head coach too readily will mean more misery for fans over the next two plus years
Good luck Peter, you took a lot of flak for some inept player performances and a huge swathe of bad luck.

Agree and believe it's another sad day for our club after all the fanfare of 2 years ago, the cancer within has to be eradicated once and for all if we are to move forward.
