| Agree if Horne not fit and Shaul has two more good games he should play at Wembley, if he has a dodgy game then Whtitng will play there although I think he is too slow for full back.

If he isn't fit for Salford he doesn't play at Wembley - Shaul does.'" I'd agree, with the proviso that Shaul plays well this weekend. If he struggles and Horne doesn't make it for Salford, it's back to Whiting.'"
If Shaul plays well this weekend and copes with the pressure and there is no sign of Horne then for me Shaul goes in at FB for Wembley. One game against Salford (if he makes it back for then) is not enough for Horne to prove his fitness.
So Shaul would go into the 17 as McDonnells replacement with Whiting on the bench (and hopefully not just cover at FB) for him to interchange.
I would only risk Horne if declared fit by Salford should Shaul has an absolute mare in the next 2 games.

There's another aspect to this problem. Tactical. Play Shaull against Rovers, Horne against Salford. If Shaull play's to expectations, bonus no 1, Horne proves his fitness, bonus no2. Which only leaves the"problem", who to play at Wemberley, In Gentle I'll trust.

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?: |
|
| I can't see Horne being picked on the bench. He'll either play fullback or not at all.

| It was mentioned during the week that there is a chance Horney might be ok for the Salford game.

| MOM, another try, only one error. Would it be fair to drop him for Horne now? He's making a strong case for himself.

The error was a tough call to. Great performance again from him . I hope he backs it up again next week and Wembley spot will be his to loose imo.

Not sure he was MOM today, but I think he's done enough barring any disasters next week.

| And seemed very humble in the post match interview - none of this prima donna stuff that some have mentioned.
IMHO it's very much now his place to lose.

His bottle of champers says otherwise.
Know what you're saying, though.
