Rumours now circulating that Paea HASN'T signed for us.

You couldn't make it up. Or rather, people make things up all the time.

Personally I'll believe it when the club announce it and not before.

I'd be inclined to go with what Hudge has said above and beyond what even I've been told. Surely he wouldn't go to the press without knowing the truth?

What I still don't understand is why Hudgell feel he needs to go to the media like some Crusader of Truth to the Rovers fans. All he has done is stirred up trouble for his club/team, Paea and himself. I could understand it if Paea was leaving Rovers hanging on promising to sign or had asked to leave with a year left on his contract but he hasn't he is fulfilling his contract with Rovers, so quite frankly he is as good as a Free Agent Paea. So surely is entitled to sign with whoever he likes and should have a right and expect this to be kept quiet until the end of Rovers season.
The only people at present who know for a fact who has signed for are Paea himself, his agent and the club he has signed for. So if Hudgell is basing his latest outburst on hearsay and rumour he has made himself look a bigger idiot than I ever thought possible and brought embarrassment on the club and its fans.
The more I read the article the more the words of Hudgell having no axe to grind and not blaming him for going elsewhere for a better deal is simply trying to cover up the fact he really is a bitter & petty man and can not divorce himself from Chairman & Fan at times.

Usually people would but you no our luck with transfers.

If Hull hadn't signed him (and had no chance of signing him) I would have expected them to deny the story.

I would also expect Paea's agent to deny if it was untrue and he was still looking to get his man a berth in the NRL or SL.

If he hasn't signed for Hull then Hudge is going to look even more stupid than usual for publicly saying that he has. Unless he is going to turn round and say Paea lied to him?

If it does become fact we have signed him then why dont we offer kr a cheeky little transfer fee and get him for the rest of this season .

If Paea asked them not to then they won't until he says they can. Hudgell mouthing off in the press is irrelevant.

It's called being professional. Other chairmen not so far away could do with looking the word up.

I'm sure Hudgell gobbing off about his players will inspire new signings to the club! I'm sure they'll feel welcome should they feel they may want a career change at some point!...

Could be wanting to hang on til later in the season to give a boost to Pass sales, but the way the news had leaked may change their minds.
