| I will be honest, I am very concerned about the KR game.
Even if we beat London next week, and I'm sure they wont be as poor as they were against KR, if we don't back up in the Derby, the confidence through the entire club from board, to players to fans will take a big hit, and I fear that will be the start of the end of another average season, lets not forget we are a quarter way through already.
Conversely if we win at London and then give KR a spanking I think the team will really push on over the next 6 games.
Because of where we find ourselves after 7 games , lack of leadership on the pitch and inconsistency in our performances, I think this Derby is one the most important in the last few years.
It could be season defining IMO.

| It's our away form which is most concerning for me, Is it something like 5 wins from 18 matches since Gentle took over?
That's what needs sorting because we're generally good at home.

Didn't realise it was that bad. That is quite clearly nowhere near good enough.

| the team has to get up for every game - not just the big games. its clear we didnt do this against widnes. if we are not up for london we could come unstuck. i think we will lose to wakey - its usually tight at their place and i think we'll go the same way as least season, perhaps not so dramatic a collapse though. home form should see wins against rovers and catalan, though the latter are unpredictable. finally salford should be an easy 2 points
we could win all 5 but we won't - 8 points at best for me, though i've a feeling it could only be 6.
at the end of this run, if we are still sitting outside the 8, gentle will be under real pressure for the first time as coach. but neither coach will be first to get the chop (salford aside) this season - millward will
on the positive side, win all 5 and we will be well placed and full of confidence with ellis coming into the team

didnt gentle say he was addressing this this season with a whole new approach to away games - things like staying over before every game, longer match day prep times etc?

The next 2 teams we play are both averaging over 28 points conceded and have managed to keep teams to less than 20 only twice each. We're averaging only 22 conceded and have had much harder games than them IMO, so I see no reason why we shouldn't be able to keep them both to less than 20 and take the wins so long as we go into the games with the right attitude.
Some way OTT reactions on here since the Widnes game, could (and should) be a one-off and a wake up call in terms of attitude, yet.'"
Apparently London were awful against Cas, so we should really be beating them

Cas maybe cannot afford to get rid of Millward

| Quote: Billy Batten "Right here goes, neck on the line time.
I predict we will take maximum points from the next 5 games.
Why???
I believe we were not too far off against Huddersfield given we competed well in most areas for the majority of the game. It was only a couple of decisions / plays that swung the game in their favour late on, and given their home advantage, position etc, I am not too downbeat following that loss.
We start next week with London away and cannot see any way their attack can cause our defence any issues whatsoever and see nothing but a comfortable win.
We also have Tickle back (a huge loss in my opinion) who offers more of a threat going forward with his style of play than many of our other forwards.
Then we play the shi.te from caravan park, and although a hard game to predict, I reckon home advantage will pull us through on this one (also their defence is abysmal).
We are then into Ellis returning territory and possiblity of playinf against Wakey (if not already played against the scum). This can only give a huge lift to the team, with leadership and real go forward from our pack. Can Wakery beat us - I doubt it very much.
Then Catalans at home - we will be on our uppers after 3 consecutive wins and our record at home against them is very good and I see no different result than a win.
Finally Salford away, and unless they have signed half the kangaroos first team then what happened to the scum from caravan park will not happen to us (oh, and we will be off the back of 4 wins)
Unless, of course we come out and defend like we did against Wire, which was tremendous.

I seem to remember him saying the players would spend the afternoon in a hotel before the Saints match, although I'm not sure whether that was just a one off or not.
Since Gentle came in we have 9 points out of 36 away from home (win and draw at Saints, wins at Cas, London, Rovers and Bradford), and 13 wins, 2 draws and 3 defeats (we lost 1 in the cup, the other to Wigan when we were down to the bare bones and Warrington this season obviously).
If we can sort it out away and replicate last season's home form we'll be right up there.

Or collapse like at Salford, which was awful. And laughable.

| Never looked as far ahead as 5 games but was already thinking 4 was winnable. London rovers n wakey are winnable games even with 0 improvement on Saturdays effort. So with some further improvement could be 3 from 3 by time we play Catalans. Who'll have just done trip to London, back home, played Leeds n travelled back to us.
4 from 5 would still be a good return as a lot of the teams above are playing each other regular for the next few weeks.
