| He just said that he can also play 7. Didn't talk about it for too long.
Personally I would like him to stay at hooker. Rotating him and Houghton in the game could be devastating.

| I wonder if Gentle mentioned it just to suggest him as our back up option in the halves?
For next season we have Ellis going, Horne supposedly moving to fullback, and Nicklas OOC. I'll be surprised if we manage to bring in more than 1 half, especially so 2 reasonably experienced ones. I think Heremaia could be our cover for injuries in the halves next year.

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

A 6 and a back up half should be priority, somebody to do Ellis' job.

Unless they fancy Newton or Jackson to possibly be worth a try at hooker next year?

| I thought we were poor and didnt deserve the win but yesterday was a case of result being more important than the performance. I was very impressed with Heremaia and Horne was also good at fullback. Moa had a superb game and Watts had an encouraging debut. Crooks defence was very good but still not convincing in attack and Briscoe played very well and was constantly involved.
Got to start following Watts with the ball as he looks capable of an offload every time.

| I thought Child contrived to ruin the game, from the very early minutes you could see it was going to be an odd one, when Brough just tapped the ball into touch for a penalty when they were almost on their own line... Tickle had his worst game in a Hull shirt so far, and the only scrum we rushed to form was immediately before half time, and led to them scoring. Whiting had a great game, as did Moa, Lynch needs to run his weight and show more agression than he did yesterday, Yeaman and Brisco both hed very solid games, Seymour did OK and his kicking was good, Heremia had a good game as well, Horne did his job well and took some difficult high balls. My biggest concern from yesterday was Crookes, he either isn't fast enough or lacks confidence, more game time will show which it is. Watts looked useful but needs to get fitter, Turner was as rubbish as ever. Westerman also looks to be unfit and plodding, which is such a shame as he has the talent.
Hudds were back to their old spoiling selves, laying on etc. if we'd lost yesterday the better side would have lost.

And I watch a different game?
Crooks was great in defence, Tickle was playing injured, Seymour's kicking was poor and Turner made loads of yards with ball in hand.

Turner was not rubbish at all, and young Crooks did very well in defense and I thought Westy had a decent game. Seymours kicks were poor I thought he was using their f/back as target practice! and some of his passing was dire. I will agree about Heremia & Horne though.

I thought Crooks did OK in defence, but he bottled it in attack, I didn't know Tickle was injured, explains why we was woeful, I thought Seymour had a decent game with his kicking, yes he found the full back but that's all we ever get from Horne, at least he was getting the ball away, thinking back maybe Heremia put some of the betterkicks in.
It's about perception and opinion Paul.

I agree re Seymour's kicking - his long kicking was not bad at all bearing in mind he was often pretty deep in his own half he got some decent distance which allowed our chase to hit them 20-30 out. His worst kick was the one that they broke from to score - Horne is actually a better close-to-the-line kicker than Seymour. It wasn't the best kicking game but certainly not 'poor'.

Horne put a couple of good close range kicks in yesterday IIRC, what was impressive was us taking the ball out of the air, we only let it hit the floor on a few occasions, and that was the quality of the kicks from Brough.

Crooks bottled it in attack???? Where, when, how?
Seymour was kicking from bad positions I agree but the kicks were still poor. Seymour is our only creative half so he will put in bad passes along with the good ones.

| Thought there was nothing in it yesterday, mistakes from both sides and Hudds have mastered the art of laying-on to perfection. What a difference when we were playing our last set and they were flying off the tackle to create a fast set, seemed strange to watch that. Mr Childs tended to reward blatant game slowing tactics by simply allowing the laying-on to happen. He becomes culpable in spoiling the spectacle of what could have been a fast flowing game.
The turning point was the Heremia try. Just when we looked devoid of ideas and a way to get back on the scoreboard he comes up with that, and we responded and found a way to finally have a bigger will to win than they did. Now we need to build on it as the tasty bit of the season unfolds.
I'm also in the camp of Westy had a good game.

He came inside a number of times, didn't back his own pace.
When I get the video I'll be able to show you what I mean (or direct you to the bit at least)

I wouldnt say bottled it, more like took a more sensible option as he was quite close to touch (would get berated if he'd have done that)
Given time he'll learn a bot more and bulk a bit to stop that happening, given the fact hes not a winger anyways
