It's just an off the cuff comment that I read to mean we can't name any more yet. He doesn't say we've signed another 6 on top of ellis and arundell, or we've signed 8 but can't say who the other 6 are, he just says we've made 6 signings already for next season and in discussions with another prop and a half back. People just putting 4 and 2 together and getting 8

Just listened to it. Nothing makes me happier to have this man at my club. Finally an owner who shows some true ambition.

The biggest thing that I took out of the interview was ambition and passion for Hull FC. I've never really questioned it but it really shone through. His ambition was absolute and his passion very strong and all the time he is at our club we are in fantastic hands. I liked the way he talked about making an impact in the playoffs too.

Is it just me or are people deciding not to take what AP is saying about the signings at face value? He quite clearly says that we have 6 signings in the bag for next season that we can't name and a further 2 signings (prop and half) that are not finalised. To me that does not include Ellis and Arundel as they have already been announced. It is possible he was including the 2 already announced in that 6 but AP strikes me as someone who would have just said we have 4 signings we can't announce yet rather than include the 2 already announced. So until anything else is announced I'm going to assume its 6 more to announce with 2 others being worked on.

Either way I'm absolutely ecstatic that AP is running this club.

Exactly, 6 we can't announce but are signed, chasing 2 more all of which is in addition to Pitts/Watts/Arundel/Ellis. He said there were 6 that couldn't be announced, not 6 signed.

pearson said we've made 6 signings for next season which is a pretty clear statement. He could easily have said another 6 signings if taht was the case. Either way we'll find out on September 1st.

On another point, he did mention signing England Knights players. Anyone know if any more of the squad are OOC at the end of the season?

I looked at the most recent squad and Frosties ooc list and there's no overlap. edit: Arundel and Watts already signed, of course.

I agree that it must be 6 new and unnamed - I didn't believe it when it was in the paper, but he seemed reasonably unequivocal on hearing him speak. I'd assume that Crookes and Paea are two. The ooc list doesn't look to offer much, although the Bradford situation could change things around.
I assume all or nearly all of your ooc are leaving.
