Official Statement
Posted on: Tue 01 May 2012

When we acquired the football club we made it clear we would run it in accordance with sound and proper business principles and procedures.

We have not and will not deviate from those principles.

Therefore although we fully appreciate the supporters' and media's desire for information we can not comment on the manager's position at the present time. We will however provide further information when we are able to do so.

Having listened to media speculation today over funds not being available in the January transfer window, we reiterate that funds were available as previously stated by us.
We also confirm the club has terminated the consultancy agreement with Adam Pearson without notice and without compensation.

We are also aware of speculation about the club being up for sale. We can categorically confirm there is no truth in that rumour and we are fully committed to Hull City and its future.

not sure how they have managed that, unless AP has been guilty of some gross misconduct, I also thought he was an employee, not a consultant?

be interesting to se how this plays out, I don't think it's going to be good for Hull City though.

Let's hope Adam has a case to take some money off the mad egytians.

Were they forced to 'terminate' the agreement because Adam had already left the building? Can only see them being able to do this without compensation if the decision was either Adam's or mutual. Unless his is guilty of gross misconduct and how likely is that?

He was right in the end:

Maybe he slapped one of em in the face then did a "walk like an egyption" at the top of his voice

This is highlighted by the fact that you have you can enivage come sort of chance that there could be a change of control of Hull CC after Thursday. OK listener, listen to this: Any feelings I may harbour of superiority are only confirmed by clueless imbeciles, like yourself, posting garbage like the above. It doesn't automatically follow that your feelings of inferiority and inadequacy make me feel superior but compared to you, it's not difficult to feel more intelligent.

Presumably no compensation means no confidentiality agreement. Dish the dirt, Adam! icon_wink.gif

I find it incredulous how anyone could think this whole sorry saga is somehow in Hull FC's best interests?

You saw how problematic it was for the club when Plummer/Hethrington/Rule had no sort of relationship with previous SMC incumbents Pearson himself and Duffen. This is potentially far worse...we are talking about open-warfare here with the Allams!

I just get the feeling things haven’t gone anywhere near as smoothly as Pearson hoped with FC.

From the outside, he saw an underperforming club teetering on the cusp of profitability despite disconnected owners, a mocked coach and an unfavourable rental agreement.

To get all that latent support flocking back, Pearson was under the impression all he had to do was replace that ghastly Mr Agar with someone more palatable, throw in some money for infrastructure investment, improve communications with fans and switch the fixtures back to family-friendly Sundays.

Well he has done all that and seen the team quickly become competitive into the bargain, yet crowds stubbornly refuse to rise. In fact they have actually dipped.

This most definitely wasn't in the script, and you can just sense this from the pleading for the fans to return before each big game!

Nor can his business-plan have included a failure to procure a more favourable rental agreement from his Egyptian friends. Much, much worse than that, those friends have now potentially become very dangerous enemies!

Furthermore, Pearson has complained that he was 'misled' on the finances of the club, and he certainly wasn’t expecting such heavy fallout from the 'Gleeson affair' (legal action still possible), while, by all accounts, he did himself few favours in the eyes of Nigel Wood and a number of SL owners with his overly-vociferous opposition to the Stobart deal.

On top of that, the unexpected loss of Luke Briscoe and the ensuing tribunal verdict has already seen him become publicly disillusioned with the Rugby League hierarchy and he has made another dangerous enemy with one of the game’s top powerbrokers, Gary Hethrington!

If he was a genuine supporter of the club (or even the sport), or a benefactor of any description, you might think he would tough this out no problem. But I just wonder if this transient, profit-driven 'football man' really is in this for the long haul?

These are not criticisms, just observations.

Sensible responses please, no irrelevant Hull KR nonsense!
