All I have ever wanted to see is a team who get to the game and give 100% as that is all you can ask. They are showing signs of how they played when Peter Sharp was in charge, and I believe with a bit of luck with injuries, we can be genuine challengers to the "top 4".
Hull KR were outclassed in every department and I put that down to quality tactics, and a very good match plan, and heart!
The futures bright.....

Interesting to note that after yesterday's game, the team went to the pool for some swimming, apart from Radders, who went down to U 20s training.

Can't ask for a more professional attitude than that

It`ll be interesting to see how many we take to Huddersfield on Monday. A following similar to the Cas game would`nt be amiss. We look to have increased our away support this season anyway.

Maybe he doesn't need to as it appears he can walk on water. Well played Radders.

Quote: Hasbag "Still think Seymour and Ellis would be the combination to go with.
The problem that leaves is who to play at fullback.
Richard Horne has played well there, but so has McKinnon.
It's a tough choice for Gentle but I can't see him switching from the usual Horne at 6 with Ellis on the bench. Our kicking game is much better though when Ellis is on the pitch.'"

Well on Monday with Horne carrying a knock Ellis will likely start, that will benefit us against a big a Huddersfield pack who we need to turn around and tire out. I dont expect a win however after yesterday anything is posssible.

We haven't beaten Hudds in a few games now and I think this will be as much of a bench mark of our improvement, as if we beat Leeds or Wigan.

Hudds are the benchmark team so far, they have to be as they are the ones at the top of the league.

Is it reasonable to expect to beat the league leaders on their own patch on Easter Monday? We did last year icon_wink.gif

No

But the good thing is we can still improve, we look solid in defence, playing as a unit and for each other and as the confidence grows the classy tries and moves are coming.

At last the teams potential seems to be coming through with the right guidence from the top, coach and captain this team has all the right signs of becoming a very good team and with more shrewd signings being promised it all looks good.

Not forgetting Andy Hay`s input which people tend to overlook.

This "benchmark" stuff is utter rubbish.

If you can't see the obvious talent in this team against any current SuperLeague opposition then your daft. If we loose against Hudds on Monday and this board gets flooded with people saying that we are pretenders it will be really frustrating.

I'm watching a Hull FC team that is improving every game - some of the posts on here read like we have reached our potential already and that everybody else has kinda yet to catch up.
