No matter who is our coach or what players we have I always believe we will be top 4/5 when the season starts, I'm a saddo I know

A lot of fans seemed wildly optimistic before the season. Ironically these are now becoming the wildly pessimistic.

Not me my optimism usually lasts until the end, I still believe 4/5

I still think 6th is realistic, with 5th an outside bet if we're very lucky.

With a bit of luck with injuries etc their are a number of clubs who could easily put a run together and claim a top 5 finish.

I still believe we will finish 6th-8th, what will lift Gentle's reign above Agar's however is if he gets us competing with the big sides on the day, particularly in crucial playoff/CC ties.

for the last 3-4 years all we've done is win a few 'run of the mill' SL ties, and then flop completely when the pressure is on (just look at how poor our last 2 playoff appearances were!)

Until Gentle gets the change to overhaul the squad and bring in the quality additions needed, I am happy for a mid-table finish, so long as we show that we can compete with the top sides on the day, and that 2013 looks like being a Top4 challenge rather than a Top8 challenge.

Who do you think will be below us then Paul ? Wire, Saints, Wigan, Leeds, Cats, Hudds?

Very optimistic to think that we'll finish above any of those squads, even before we have a few injuries to the squad.
