Exactly mate,
TBH Since the Sharp/Kear era, I cannot remember the last time Hull F.C players backing up each other on half breaks/breaks, this season alone, and even in the Saints and Huddersfield games in particular, I've counted at least 10 or more potential try scoring opportunities from breaks if the player was backed up.
Tis why we need a hooker, and also half backs that will back each other up.
Story of hull f.c of late, no second phase. It's what made us so dangerous 05/06 seasons.
Regarding quota, and who will be going end of this season, I reckon obst and phelps to go.

That would be my guess. Thought we would look for another H/B to replace Long, but I guess signing a 9 means Houghton gets spelled and Ellis has a better chance of game time at 7.

As it stands i think you may well be right Paul, it will be interesting what we do with our final quota spot, i see Fitz retiring and i don`t think we`ll offer Lauaki a new deal so a forward must be on Agars shopping list.

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

or perhaps a full back who likes to trail the play such as ... erm... McKinnon?

| Don't know much about him to be honest. However many on here hold Steven Kearney in high regard, well he deemed Heremaia good enough to represent his NZ side a month ago.

| Not seen much of him but I'm glad we're recruiting another pivot-type player. If he can hold down a place at the Warriors he'll be good enough for SL. I think Long will stay on a reduced deal and help out coaching - Horne reduced one year deal also. Agar said the other week that he was after more creativity - not simply replacing one lot with another. One or two young home grown forwards may well benefit in coming through next year as a result of us concentrating our recruitment/retention on creative players. We don't score enough points - clearly there are attempts to put this right.

| Heard of this guy but not seen him play so will reserve judgement. Interesting that that there was no "Greensleeves" accompaniment to the signing announcement though

no, but im saying its a good indicator on personel performance....
football managers for years have used the opta stats as a benchmark in recruitment, focusing on individuals and there performnace game to game...
all im saying is the stats dont lie....
hence farah and smith being australias 2 top ruck men......and them being australias starting hookers.....
gallen, luke bailey, thruston, gasnier are all top of there individual fantasy groups...and suprise suprise, there all rep players!!!!

| To fill in his English story... Was playing 7 for Leigh until 2007 when he'd agreed to sign for Widnes on a dual SL / NL contract (if we got promotion via GF) we went into administration and he took up a deal with Halifax... But once we were sorted he tried to get out of Fax deal to join us but they wouldn't accept and he said was now 'home sick' but they kept his registration so he went home (never playing for Widnes or even Fax I don't think) eventually got picked up by Warriors went onto do well there and got his Kiwi cap too... Think he played for Maori against England last season too?
Be a good signing from 9! I think we were meant to be interested but I don't know. Looking at it all would say that's Long going?
