Generally people who have been seizure free for several years will be gradually withdrawn from their medication so the fact that Kirk was 10 years past his last seizure I'd be very suprised if he was on medication anymore.
However due to this seizure he will certainly be taking some form of medication again dependant upon the type of seizure he's had.
In essence it will probably be a 6 month withdrawal of his licence pending a Dr's report for the DVLA stating whether or not he feels he is fit to drive again, this will depend on Kirk continuing to take his medication and that he suffers no more seizures during that time.
IF Kirk was and wants to continue to be medication free, he would need to be seizure free for 12 months before he could reapply for his drivers licence.
The only things I hope are:
a). Kirk makes a full recovery and any meds he takes continues to keep the condition under control - he'll be anxious to know why all of a sudden they've started again.
b). Because of all the headlines his seizure has made, that he doesn't feel in any way embarrassed by it all. If anything he should be proud on achieving so much with a condition which could be so debilitating.
