Some interesting stuff especially the quotes from Matterson about not spending up to the cap , resources being stretched , losing players and having to plug gaps. This is why I despair. The comparison between us and Cas couldn't be more stark. We have such massive advantages over them but you wouldn't think so. Not saying Matterson would be the answer but to me this sort of comparison is the prime reason why many of us are so disillusioned. |

made some shrewd sigings tho has matterson......to give him abit of credit |

Especially given that he's had three years using the full cap, Matterson has done what he has done with much lower resources.
When it comes to Agar, you simply cannot wait for abilities to come through that he clearly doeasn't have. |

OK subconciously I must have been having a go at Agar as I put it on the Agar thread. I was intending though to draw the comparison between the clubs generally. One with great facilities and the other with none. One , apparently spending up to the cap and the other not. One with a "great , young British coach" and the other with an unproven ex Harlequins player at the helm.
The coaches have been in situ a similar time I think and both are longer than 5 minutes. Why have they been able to sign Chase , more insight , Matterson talks a better game , it can't be money can it? |
