| For me Tansey should be back as fullback and whiting on bench in place of Houghton . Don't beleive it sends out the wrong message especially as Whiting himself has admitted he is not quick enough for full back. As a coach you have to pick your strongest squad and that means Tansey as full back , its the same as next week Long will come straight in at 7 even if we win at Cas and turner (or whoever is covering ) will be dropped from that position its the same scenario.Tansey has served his punishment and prior to that he was one of our best players.

I'll have a go ......
Question 1 : i think Moa will get plenty of games this year he is our next prop choice should any injury to a prop occur and injury will occur. I don't think we would have signed him as a quota player had another quota back been available at the time of a high enough quality (that would fit in the cap) but he will figure no doubt about it.
Question 2 : Totally agree with your sentiment I would start to play Berrigan for 80 now his match fitness must be up there and release a bench spot for other use.

Long was out because he was injured, not because he was being disciplined. It's not a disciplinary measure if you know you're guaranteed your place back - it's simply a week off. And it provides no incentive for a player to perform well in the absence of another if they know they'll be out of the side the following week.

I tend to agree. I was merely pointing out that being voted MOM by Sky does not necessarily guarantee a place in the side for the next game. The coaching team will have studied video of the match and analysed performances in detail. They will also have a plan for the next game. Both of these will carry more weight than anything decided by Dumb and Dumber IMO.

Correct. I expect to see Whiting stay at FB and Tansey go to 7 with Horne at 6 because Tansey is a more potent threat than Turner in the halves. This actually gives Hall a chance to impress again at centre which might be unlucky for Whiting who I can see being dropped for the Wigan game to make room for Tansey when Long returns to 7. That just means Lauaki needs to be on his mettle so that he doesn't lose his bench spot to Whiting.
Whatever happens the options are looking good.

| Agree with what's been said about it been harsh on Whiting, and I really can't call it. But I would have Tansey in the side, because of his consistent performances prior to his disciplinary week been dropped. BUT, I also think we NEED Whiting in our side. Somewhere, anywhere, I just don't know where!
Maybe Tansey - 7, Whiting - 1 would be the best option.

I think it's what it symbolises, more than anything. He was named MOM by Sky and, if the vote on here was anything to go by, large sections of the fan base would agree. That doesn't mean he was unquestionably better than anyone else against Quins, but it wasn't a decision that made you say, "What? Whiting?" He played well enough to warrant mentioning, even if it isn't unequivocal that he was the best player on the pitch.
To drop a player after a performance like that would be unthinkable IMO. It goes against everything fans have been arguing for for the last two seasons.

| Tansey in at full back and Whiting onto the bench in place of Houghton for me but think Agar will pick Tansey 7 with Turner missing out.

| Been told that Tansey is back in at full back.
Lauaki starting with Manu on bench.
Whiting or Houghton on bench.

| You can't replace a player who was MOM in a position with a player dropped from that position for disciplinary reasons, regardless of whether he was first choice or not. Sends out the completely wrong message to the players fighting for positions (you can get dropped even if you have a blinder) as well as those who would consider breaking club rules (you'll get a slap on the wrist and back to usual).
If Tansey is to come back, it would either be half-back or on the bench for me. Would be a shame to drop Turner or Houghton, but Tansey is a class player and they will get other chances.
