I appreciate what you say but he was only ever a winger as is Calderwood - some of the young lads we have - Briscoe - Hall - etc will move to other places (Hall already so) Although I dont know a lot about Reece Lynn and Denis it would seem at the moment they would be wingers- I may be proved wrong of course.
Some daft coach once played R Horne on the wing for GB - strange thing is it did not help his course at all. |

For the rest of the readers who are not escapee's from the care in the community scheme, the reason that Sully did not play many games in his first three years with us was that although he signed in Dec 1961, until 1964 he was in the Royal Signals and only played when he got off duty. He scored a hat trick on his debut and scored 26 tries is 32 appearances in those first three years. He was always first choice when he was home! In his career he suffered a lot of injuries though one if I remember was a rather dramatic one following a car accident!

Right, have you read that when I said 95%of games at hooker, I may have been wrong. But fore serious stato's like yourself, when you tell me he has played 8 games away from that position, well thats good for me. Still played well over the majority of his games in his favoured position and performed average.
Im trying to cover tracks about the £260k I mentioned about Berrigans wages lol are you another one who didn't see the wink at the end of the message? plus if he is on what you say, its far to much for the performances he has dished out for you.

Rupert - just to set the record straight (from the HDM site)
"Injury problems to Hull's squad meant just 12 starts at his favoured hooker position for Berrigan in his first season with the Black and Whites in 2008.
And there was one less start with just 11 games as a starting hooker last year as Hull's injury woes continued."
Appearances 23 in 2008 and 21 in 2009. I won't insult you by doing the maths. |

Meanwhile, back on the original thread . . . .
Regardless of who is up and coming, in my opinion, Calderwood is deserving of at least another twelve months. I would be interested to know what kind of money he's on but I don't expect him to be a massive earner. With better service and decent opportunities, I hope he proves to be good value for money after scoring 30 tries this season . . . . . (he hopes !!).

NOPE'"
On the other hand, you can keep a player who has been heading in the wrong direction for a number of years or replace him with a good young lad who has bags of potential with his best years in front of him. Wasn't one of the aims of taking away P&R to be able to bring through quality young kids? |
